new and depressed

Hi all,
i wont go on too much, but i'll give you the short version. I have been depressed on and off for about 10 years (since the age of 13), i have tried loads of antidepressants, therapists etc, but i just cant get over what happen when i was 12 and under. I am currently on citalopram, but i find that they dont work, but my gp refuses to put me on any stronger meds.

Me and my now husband have been through alot in the 5years we have been together, we have split up about 4 times, near on once every year until we got married. i have self harmed and once i took an overdoes and ended in hospital for about 3days, when i discharged myself.

anyway back to the issue, about 3 years ago i started getting really bad periods, where i would bleed for about 3 weeks, then not bleed for 2-3 months. i saw gynae and they couldnt find anything wrong, i tried the coil etc, but it didnt help me at all and found it very uncomfortable and i tried the oral pill, but i would have breakthrough bleeding. so in the end i had an endometrium ablasion. And my husband, who has kids, decided to have the snip. but now im in a big pickle.

I am really broody, to the stage that im really depressed about it and i hate all pregnant woman or woman with young babies.

There is no way we could afford a reversal for my husband, even if we could, i wouldnt be able to get pregnant. i have checked to see if im still ovulating, without the bleeding, but im not

Im sorry i have moaned so much, but i just needed to get it off my chest, as my husband just says theres nothing we can do about it, so just got to live with it, but i hate hearing that.

Hi Amy,

I am sorry for your situation, but as you say, it can't be changed. We have to learn to live with certain things and it is hard. Have you thought about adopting? Please don't feel anger with others who are pregnant or have young babies. Be happy for them if you can. I would talk to somebody about this and see if you can't change the way that you feel.
