Is life what you make it? Lovely Bones...

I'm almost finished with the Lovely Bones.
I think too much, too hard, too often.

I don't want to explain myself, my problems, anything.
I just want someone to tell me this...
I don't have to be a wicked woman, do I? I don't have to be cruel and unhappy and heartless.
I can be loving, and truthful?
I feel like a dirty, worthless liar.

Welcome to HealingWell.  I have read that book and I hope you are not identifying with the villian in this story.  The author  has taken a grim, media-exploited subject and fashioned from it a story that is both tragic and full of light and grace.

Try not to over-think when reading as you are not a villian or you would not be here asking these questions.

The Lovely Bones was one of Oprah's Choices for her Book Club and sometimes I like her choices but not always.

I read for pleasure and I do not overanalyse and dissect books.  That was my point for oldspeak ~ just read and don't let your mind run away with thoughts provoked by what you are reading. If you find a book does not feel good to you then stop and find something more suited to you.

Yes, this book was made into a movie but to the best of my knowledge it was not a hit.
