MMMNavy,
I know I have said some things to my boss and at least one colleague has said something to the bosses. There were reports in the media about this colleague when he was arrested! Why wouldn't EVERYBODY at work be talking about him???
I'm not going to put myself out there further by saying, oh, I heard him say something on the phone. The company is "concerned" enough about this character that they re-assigned him from a job where he had contact with the public and could possibly have to talk to juveniles. They put him in my department precisely because we do not have any contact at all with the public. However, we do employ teenagers, and we have all seen him chatting them up in the evening, which is when they work, just down the aisle from our department.
But for whatever reason, they continue to employ this jerk. Maybe they think that this slap on the wrist he is getting from the courts will have taught him a lesson, blah blah blah.
My company ASTOUNDS me with its stupidity, and its willingness to let certain people do whatever they want, as long as they look enthusiastic and kiss up to the bosses. I think it would aid my mental health to get out of there.
As for my creepo stepfather, yes, i guess this whole bullies thread is misleading. It's about more than that.
