well after  hours of sleeping all day i am up but not for long. i had my surgery and all went well. when i woke up i was asking for chinese food lol. i was nauseous and everytime i slept my breathing slowed so i was in recovery for 3 hours. hubby and kid took care of me all day. im in pain and my nose is bleeding but i am ok. will sleep on the couch for a couple days until the nose stops bleeding cause it elevates my head and my nose has drained down my throat causing me n ot to breath. i will post more when im feeling better.

Congratulations on a successful surgery Worriedgirl.

Please do write more when you are feeling up to it. For now get some rest. Relax and heal.

next day after surgery, i slept like crap, have to sleep with head elevated and i woke up with a very dry mouth every couple hours, my nose is draining like crap(hubbys going to get the saline stuff to clean it which will prolly hurt), i took two percocets and i was dizzy last night at one point so i laid down on bathroom floor cause it happened in bathroom and knocked on bedroom door and scared the crap out of him cause he thought i fell. i had him help me to frontroom then around six i had to wake him up for him to help me clean my nose cause it was draining really bad but its not bleeding anymore. poor thing didnt sleep that well because of me and he has to work. friend is coming to help me today but she has a weak stomach so i dont know if i can get her to help clean my nose with the saline solution(it has to be done 3 times a day.) i am only gonna take one percocet if needed today. my mouth feels like i was smoking marijuana lol, btw i dont smoke it but i hear it gives you cottonmouth.

WG,

It will take some time for the draining to stop and I don't think that the saline will hurt. It is usually mild. Get some rest. Take care of you. I am glad that you are feeling a little better. Only good things to come!

Let us know how you are doing when you feel up to it. We are all thinking about you.

In my experience with surgery that I feel that dry mouth feeling for about a week afterwards (and super sore throat if they put tubes down) it does help me to drink plenty of water and have gatorade slushies (the slushie kind of ice seems to help me)

i am drinking a lot of water, have some sprite too. i hate the dry mouth and the nose bleeding isnt the greatest either. i have been awake longer today then yesterday but im still exhausted.

Give yourself plenty of time to heal.  The saline works well and to the best of my knowledge is not really painfully.  Glad to hear your drinking fluids as that will help you alot.  Also 2 Percocet can hit you hard if you have not used them before. 

It is normal to feel exhausted so please be kind to yourself and rest.

Took only one percocet twice today. only trying to use them if needed. my nose feels sore and stuffy and im developing a bruise of some sort where the tape is being taken off to change the bandage. im not bleeding so much as draining out of my nose. feels like i need to blow my nose but im not allowed, it is torture. went to the mall last night(only one store, i needed to get out) and some thugs looked at me like i was a freak and was laughing. im quite surprised with my ADD i didnt give them a piece of my mind but i didnt as i have to learn to control my impulses. i ate eggs for dinner with hashbrowns. i love ketchup but now ketchup, pizza sauce and pepparoni taste spicy to me and my cheese on my pizza had no taste. food just is either bland or spicy, uggggg. it is hard to brush my teeth like this, and i forgot to ask if i can take a shower like this, so i am gonna take a bath tonight and have hubby help wash my hair so i dont get my face wet.

I hope that the discomfort goes away soon. I am sorry those people laughted at you. They are ignorant. Remember that. They have no clue.

I hope that you have the merriest of Christmases. I know things are hard right now, but they will get better.... We all know that. With your change of location where you are working and being able to breathe better. It will all fall into place when the time is right.

been almost 3 days, and still dont feel that great. cant sleep well at night and cant stay awake during the night. upset hubby because i cant do alot of the housework, i know he is just tired from taking care of me. from the saline solution i have a constant nasty taste in my mouth, the food tastes bland and not good. ketchup is spicy. im miserable. my neck hurts from sleeping on the couch, will try the bed tomorrow and see if i can do it. im anxious about leaving my store too, am i doing the right thing or am i running. i love my employees and now im deserting them. im alone. i cried today which has made my sinuses hurt. the good things are coming together yet i am sad. i know its the change im fearing. does anyone even care. im just feeling down today. im also missing my mom. this is my second christmas with her gone.

You are not running away. You are diong what is right for you. Remember that. You will make new friends in the new store. I am surethat you will like it better. You will be free of the mean boss. I have a dog bugging me so I have to make this short. But I hope that your Christmas is a good one.

feeling alot better just a nasty taste in my mouth. hubby says something stinks and its not my breath as i brushed my teeth so i think its my nose and i think thats why i have a nasty taste comeing from my nose. im still wearin the bangage but can go short periods without unless im moving around alot. i have an incredible urge to blow my nose but im not allowed to blow so i have to wait. i still cleanse my nose out with saline spray and it helps with the full feeling but i do have dry crusties and it is aggravating to no end. calling tomorrow to schedule the after surgery visit. hope all is well there.

So glad the surgery went well!  Keep it up! you will be healed up in no time.  We all care very much and wish you happy days!
