Depressed.. Alone

I'm new, so let me just say Hello to everyone.

I'm an only child and I've always wanted a big brother, not a big sister, but a big brother. I found out two years ago that my mom was gonna have a boy, then she had a miscarriage, then me, then a stillborn. I've always envied anyone with a big brother, because they have someone that loves, protects, and picks on them. I've always looked up to the Jonas Brothers, because in a strange way, I've always felt like they were brothers to me. Lately, I've really wanted a big brother. I just want someone to talk to me, to care, to protect me. I've always thought, ' what if ______'s parents died, and then we adopted him... then he'd be my big brother and that would be perfect. I've wrote about having a big brother and everything. I have dreams about having a big brother. And because of it, I think I have become depressed. Also, my mom doesn't let me like have friends over, she says its because my room isnt clean. But even when its clean I can't have friends over. I don't really have a question or anything. But I really wish I had a big brother....

I know a little bit about what you are going through. I had a brig brother that passed when I was at a young age. When he was gone it always felt like his spot was open but with no one to fill it. At the same time I didn't want anyone else to fill it either.

in your situation you may want to look into perhaps joining a Big Brother or similar mentoring program. There are people that will help to give you the security you seek while keeping things fun and entertaining. They normally spend a few hours with you each week. You can try checking the phone book or even doing a google search for your local area.
