Life.

Well im 14. A freshman in high school. And single.
I started getting depressed in maybe around 7th grade? And I really have no clue why. I would act like I was happy so my friends wouldn’t worry about me. But in 8th grade it really hit me. I would write dark poems and would skip hanging out with my friends so I could be alone. I would bottle everything inside and really, I was just falling into darkness it seemed. And now in high school I thought I would be able to turn over a new leaf, high school I get to drive my older brother is a senior. I thought it would be awesome… but really now I have to deal with more issues and pressures with grades. And now my brother wants to enlist in the army. I really do not want him to go…sure I would be proud, but losing my only sibling? So basically, im super stressed from school, my friends don’t really understand my problems, and I just don’t know what to do..

Welcome to the Forum.  I am glad you found us.  I am wondering if you have shared your feelings with your parents as that may be the first step in obtaining your physician's help. 

Our oldest son joined the Marines right out of High School and I was crushed but  I have all the respect in the world for our service men and women - I just felt he was to young. I told him that I'd supported him, ( even though this was not the future that I had invisioned for him ).

All turned out well, he received a great education and did not sign up for a second tour.  He is now a successful Electrical Engineer and I am so proud of him.  He did it his way.

Was I lonesome without him - oh my yes - extremely lonesome. It felt like he fell off  the face of the earth but it worked out.

Remember he is not abandoning you but spreading his own wings. Support him and love him.
