Hi Shawna,
Just because you aren't the one with depression, doesn't mean you don't need some help coping. I highly suggest counseling to help you deal with your depressed spouse, especially when you have thought that you were to blame for his moods. It is so important for you to get some self esteem back. It effects the spouse greatly when one person is depressed. You will find once he gets help he will be bac k to the way he use to be and will be kind and compassionate again. He is just in a funk and that happens. We tend to take it out on the ones we love. We aren't afraid to show our moods. I am lucky, I have a very suppportive husband. He doesn't take anythingn I say personally. Though my depression has been in remission for a long time. Get some help for you. Do something nice for yourself. Talk to your husband, let him know how you feel, just try not to blame him. He can't help it.
I hope that this helps a little bit.
Hugs, Karen
