Depressed..feel like I'm going crazy

Everyone reacts different so something that has worked for me and not caused weight gain or anxiety still may for you. I would suggest one, but really it would just be a guess. Your guess and your doctors guess for the next to try is probably as good as mine. But dont lose hope I didnt find one until my forth try.

I hope that you find what is right for you. I took effexor and didn't really gain weight, but others say that they did. I guess our guess is about the same as the doctor's.

Just don't give up. What about a lesser dose of wellbutrin, or something for anxiety to go along with it?

Don't give the xanax up all together if you don't have to. It might help you with anxiety. I have been taking it of 20 years. No problems with it. Infact I take less than I use to. But I didn't stop it all together because I do suffer from anxiety.

I am gald that you are talking to a pdoc. That is what we call the psychiatrist. They are the best when it comes to depression meds.

That isn't a very high dose, so I wouldn't worry too much about being dependant on it. You can take it as needed so it can be fluctuated as to how you are feeling. But make sure that you discuss that with the doctor if you ever decide you need more or less. I like it because it seems to work quickly if I am anxious. But I think I have a higher level of anxiety than you do. You can always discuss with your doctor about going off of it. And just keep some handy if it doesn't work. But don't feel bad for needing it. A lot of people do. There is nothing wrong with dealing with your anxiety issues in this way. Though some prefer not to.
