Hello, I am new to the forum. This is my first post and I am wondering if anyone else has this problem. I have been having a severe spell of depression every 4 years, began when I was about 25 and I'm now 55. However, in the last little bit, it has hit me in 2009 and again now. I have seen several different psych in the past with no relief from the meds. Have tried all the SSRIs and combinations and some of the older tricyclic ones. I do not have any episodes of mania. I just can't drag myself out of bed and I am so miserable. So, when the depression is over, I am fine and my normal self.  By the way, I do not have any health insurance now (and not much  money). Also, there seem to be no triggers to my spells. I have not had anything bad happen to me in my lifetime. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this sort of problem?

Hi Julie,

Welcome to the forum. I am sorry that you seem to have drug resistant depression. That is a very difficult thing to deal with. There are some newer meds out there now, wonder if you have tried any of them??? How long does the depression last?

There are mental health facilities with sliding scales. Which means that they base their fees on your income. You may only have to pay five or ten dollars per visit. Plus I know of a site of a drug discount card if you ar einterested. Let me know.

I sure do hope that you are feel better. I hope that this cycle ends fast for you.

Hi Julie: You can try Energy based healing systems, this is very help full, your depression will surely get reduced by this.......... and feel much much better
