Have any of you been in like an in-patient therapy? I WANT to be in one. I feel so horrible.

Talk to your doctor or psychiatrist about
it and see what they recommend. I hope that it helps and I hope that you feel better soon.

How did those around you react? I'm afraid of what my parents will say, but right now my desire to get away from them is really strong.
What is it like there?

I have never been hospitalized but my mother was on many occasions. I will tell you that you have many people there with a variety of mental illnesses. But everybody is working on their own thing. You will find people like you and people different.
If you are serious about
this, don't worry what others will think. Just get yourself better. Those who haven't been through this tend not to understand and may want to talk you out of it. But do what is in your best interest. Get started by talking to somebody who can help you get admitted. And try to admit yourself because then you can leave when you feel you need to if you do. Otherwise you have no say over it.
I hope that this helps some.
You are being very brave.
Hugs, Karen
