Greenbean, Hey I remembered one of the quotes you shared, and it helped me tonight. It refocused me on the positive and instead of sinking when I felt a regret/negative thought about
something, I saw the good. So thanks again for sharing. It was the one about
reaching for the moon... I copied that one down.
Beagleman, that is very good what you wrote. It sounds like you have your values in the right place. More than many can say.
Maggie, the movie is called Stuart Smalley Saves His Family. If you havn't seen it, you are in for a treat. It's from the 90's I think. Sooooo funny, but so true at the same time. See if you can find a copy of it to watch. "Let go and let God." I learned that from Stuart Smalley too!
His character is a guy who is tryign to recover from his dysfunctional family so he's joined a bunch of 12 step groups. In the end his brother and sister see the light, he manages to leave his mom and dad behind to establish his own life, and his friends are with him all the way. It is a comedy, though, and so well done how it has such a good message presented with such a loveable character and there are many funny lines in the movie (along with the positive AA etc. quotes).
Karen, you are such a good encourager to us all. Like a mamabear, only a sisterbear at the same time. Know what I mean? You love us all well!
Jamiee, I don't usually think of myself as a tough
cookie since I feel weak so much of the time and my strength comes largely from outside myself. But maybe you're right, and I am a tough
cookie when it comes down to it. Thansk for saying so. Hope you're doing okay today!
take care everyone, embers
