Hi All,

Just a thought... Have you ever had the feeling that you don't really know who you are?

I have been really thinking alot about my life, and I can't help but question myself.

Sorry if this sounds crazy... Maybe it is just Menopause???????? Any thoughts?

Michelle you are not alone...I think most of us have that same feeling. We miss who we were an what we used to be able to do. Like Jamie said It will get better. My doctor always says to me...baby steps...

I was looking for ya Michelle. I was wondering where you'd gone off to! I feel that way a lot. But then I try to remember who I am and who I want to be. And realize where I fit.

wink   wink Maybe we should have an insomnia thread, I get so lonely some nights and I don't know who is awake?

AZnd I wake up with great waves of anxiety induced nausea just too...forget sleep after that-lol Nice talking to y'all

Hi Michelle,

I find when I start thinking in these terms, I am usually not feeling very good. There are so many questions that go unanswered, and I think the meaning of life is one of them. When I start thinking in that way, I know I am thinking too much.

I think we have to accept our lives for what they are. Go with the flow of things so to speak. Try not to think too much. Like I say, there are many unanswered questions about life. Just try to live your life and be happy. Don't sweat the small stuff. And always remember to wear sunscreen. lol... That is a video that I posted the other day. I doubt anybody watched it. But it was cool.

Try not to question your life. Just try to live it. We are faced with enough challenges, and trying to figure this out will only make you more confused. Do you have a faith? Do you go to church? Sometimes that is a good place to start. But I would recommend counseling if you aren't already going. They can set you on a path of answering your own questions.

Either way, I hope that you are feeling better. Keep posting and know that we care.

Karen, Yes, to answer your question. I attend church almost every sunday. I belong to a small town southern baptist church. I am a born again christian and my faith in God has helped me through many trials. I have a hard time though knowing who I can talk to in my church as it is a small town (if you know what I mean). I just recently sought help from the mental health clinic that my insurance co. referred me to. They told me that it could be 4-6 weeks before they could see me.

In the mean time I will just keep on praying and counting my blessings!

I also have issues with trust so all of this is very difficult for me... Oh well, maybe that will pass with time.

Y'know you mentioned menopause in your original post and it struck a nerve. I remember turning 50 and really struggling with who I was and how I had not acheived hardly anything I thought I would when I was young.

Life just happens and takes us down roads we had no desire to travel and we despair and feel cheated. But now I know I am on this path and I must make this journey the best I can, because there is no turning back, only moving forward...so I guess we just need to explore and enjoy the road we are on
