If you aren't honest with them, they can't help you. Just try to get into sessions with the psychologist. Bring these things up if they are an issue at that time. Truth is, we all have most likely felt like you at one time or another. But with therapy, you can get beyond that. Talk about basic issues, insecurities if you have them. Feeling worthless, the feeling of a dark hole. Something that you are experiencing just to get started. There are many ways a psychologist can help you. I have been seeing one for years. But like Chartreux said, they just don't lock you up. So try not to get worked up about it. Face it when it is time and take things as they come. Try to go with the flow of things. Getting stressed out goes against it.
