I only applied yesterday for a foster animal - and I'm picking up my first moggy this afternoon. I am so excited. He's injured and my quiet, loving home, is the perfect environment for him to recuperate..................... okay make that two moggies! - they are settling in so well, they are affectionate, eating and drinking and seem really relaxed and happy. So am I :) It's funny one of them has a bad habit of drinking from the toilet - and falling in - but keeps doing it despite the outcome. They are delightful.

I was in tears today because of the harassment from the real estate. I have emailed the landlord directly with the new lease and management agreement for him to assign another agent. The real estate is not giving me the capacity to pay rent. I am still 4 weeks in advance but have asked the landlord for a bank account to make payments into.

I enjoyed my volunteering. My son came to see me at work and joined the class - the teacher approved it. The young people were very distracted today but we got the most we could out of them for their own sake - reminding them of their long term goals.

I started counselling with a new counsellor today for the PTSD - he said he needed time to digest such a complex case and I agreed. I really look forward to what strategy options he comes up with. I liked his level of experience and ability to deal with the more high end trauma.

Hi Karen,

I'm glad you are feeling good. I was going to respond "I'm not working with animals, I just put my name down to" - but as it turned out, they contacted me immediately and I have been looking after two very sick adult cats with cat flu; sneezing, trouble breathing nasally, swollen red eyes, and getting over their desexing.

The love and affection these cats give are amazing! We are humidifying them tonight and we changed their meds this morning. It is so rewarding to help them, but they give so much back. It's so much fun to see their personalities come out. They are so relaxed and happy here, they settled in immediately, which shows they are in the right place - nice and quiet.

Will update you on how these princesses are going - they are helping distract me from my ptsd.
