where i was in the hosptial, they have an intensive out patient program. You go like from 8-3 everyday for few weeks, then to like 11 and then just regular outpatient
they called it partial hospitalization.
Ask if there is anything in your area like that

Thanks for the advice my friend. They have it here in Northern Virginia too, but I refused to go...I don't do well in groups. I feel.....edit, bla, bla......edit.....

Edit, edit, bla.....bla, bla, bla..........edit........!

Of course I feel..........edit.........


My Psychiatrist asked about my thoughts and I was honest in telling her I've been too busy to have time to wonder down that dark path. She failed to ask me about my bla, bla, edit......., so I didn't say anything, because if I do then it might be edited! LOL

At the very least I think you should mention that you are still having strong desires to inflict harm upon yourself and ask for options. If you do not feel comfortable mentioning this to your psychologist then talk to the PTSD therapist about it.

Hopefully structuring your day and keeping yourself focused on more constructive things will help along with the new medications, but at the very least the pro's should be aware of things.

I strongly agree with Jim in this. You really need to talk to a professional about this.
