Hey all!
Been going through some experimental trials with my psychiatrist using psycho-stimulants to try to augment my antidepressants and dampen sedating effects of pain meds. So far we've tried:
Ritalin, Concerta, Adderall XR, and just started Dexedrine. I know there are few more variations yet to try. I've been researching constantly on the different types, their individual chemical make-up, as well as trying to find out if any of them really work well, long-term. Of course I'm coming up with a huge variety of responses (mostly from ADHD people, tho), which wasn't really unexpected -- different bodies/chemistries = different responses. ...I've had a couple of "good" days (out of more than a month), but then nothing (just side effects). Maybe I have too high a tolerance, I don't know...
It's just that another summer's here, and I'm too fatigued/depressed to function, never mind participate in life, especially during the short warm season, here. Starting to get more depressed, now: "Nothing will ever work for ME! Boo-hoo!" -- Hate feeling sorry for myself!... Just so much to do, so many others to help!
So, anyone out there have any experience with this sort of stuff? (Karen, I know Adderall XR works well for you!)
Any feedback or advice appreciated!
Thanks,
Cailin
