Good morning UA...glad your knee is better this morning. Yes, hot here too. Today and tomorrow and then a short break to semi normal temps.

Jamie, I'm OK. It's quiet being alone...which has been an interesting change.

Took typing class in high school. Hands were covered so you had to learn where the keys are. I see my husband typing with two fingers...eyes glued to the key board and am so glad I learned how..

Probably asked this already...but...do you change your zoom level on your screen?

I just typed this with my screen at 400%.  I needed to use the arrow at the bottom to move it over to the emoticons...but did manage to get there

Now, if I can find the submit button we'll be in business

Alright, children...

Time for another topic.... music

Several weeks ago...flipping through the TV channels the musical introduction of a 1947 movie "The Man I Love" with Ida Lupino... just grabbed me, like nothing before.  Ever since, I have been humming that tune!

Since John has been away ...and time available... I've been searching on YouTube all the different renditions of this Gershwin song. 

There are SO many variations, just instrumentals... from pianos, violins, orchestral, saxophones.  Not fond of the Jazz or the vocals.

With the house to myself... I'm playing them all...as loud as I can.

My poor husband.  He's a French horn musician, Juilliard graduate Prefers opera.  Oh well, when he returns I'll wear the ear phones.

Good Wednesday morning...

I guess it's Wednesday... strange having the work week to myself.

Hot again here today.  Even with the windows open overnight the indoor thermometer was 80º when I got up.  Fans running now, doors open and it's down to 77º... TaDa!  I've not used the AC at all this week.  Maybe being frugal, but John would call it 'austere' if he knew.

Mags, your electric cost is scary.  Think ours is about half as much...but of course, there are only two of us. 

I had forgotten about 'peak' usage time of day.  I'll check if we have the same thing here.  Does make sense to watch what and when.

Hope to hear from John.  He didn't call yesterday.  Last time we spoke he said he wasn't feeling so good, and might come home earlier than planned.

Joyce are you getting bored with hubby gone??? I am sure you have a lot to do. Seems lilke it is easier to clean with them out of the house to me... lol...
