Oh, I'm so sorry you're facing this with your son! I know you must be really scared about his safety, but it does sound like you're doing the best you can to help him. And, it's certainly hard to know where to draw the line in these sort of situations. :( But, after reading your post, I wondered if you could get any input from your son's counselor about how best to help him and be there for him. I know sometimes it's important to have some boundaries in place with adult children to make sure they learn to stand on their own. Of course, this situation is a bit unique with your concerns about suicide. So, that's why I'm wondering if a counselor's input would be your best bet. And, if you're not able to contact your son's therapist, I did want to mention that there are counselors you can talk to over the phone for free at Focus on the Family (1/855-771-HELP). I work there and I know they've handled situations like these-just FYI. Well, I will definitely be praying for you and your son. ((Hugs))!
