My mom just had one on may 24th! She was in a lot of pain at the start and was down, but a week later she started to turn around and even now she's saying she feels the best she ever had!
Think of what's to come! You will feel amazing! Just takes time to heal :)

Hi
I had a hysterectomy many years ago, I was young too, just 28. From what I remember the first few weeks you need plenty rest. The pain just takes time, we are all different in our ability to handle pain. It will take a few weeks though. Don't be impatient, just try to find something to keepnyou occupied, read, sew, watch TV and rest. The pain will go. I think a bit of low mood is really common after a hysterectomy, I know I went through that too. After all you are losing part of what makes us women. You will soon realize the benefits once the pain improves and once you are more active again your mood will improve. Don't wait too long though, see your doctor if the pain and your mood don't improve.
Jane
