Anxiety Yikes!

HI All,

I am bravely attending a wedding this afternoon. First big social function in over a year.

I only know the bride and groom, maybe 3 other people. Thank God my husband will be with me!

It will be a long afternoon and evening, I will be doing deep breathing the whole time, trying to stay calm, I just know it!. I will take my PRN meds with me just in case.

Wish I could take my smallest dog with me for comfort! Social conventions. Who created them anyway!?

I know what you mean about social functions. I hate to go myself, but often find once I go, I am glad that I did. Just put on that brave face and you will be just fine. You will probably have fun. But yea, I know what you mean, especially with weddings. It will be fun...

Survived the wedding! Thank you all for your good thoughts!

Did oK, until the music started with the lights blinking on the dance floor and then all the flashes from the camera's and Iphones. We had to leave before the cake cutting.

But it was a nice outing and I feel accomplished that I made it through, and without any extra meds. Sat at a round table set for 10. It was tight!

I am hear to say that mindfulness and deep breathing do work!! Wew!
