Hi, my name is Sarah and I have struggled with depression for almost ten years. Although I am now more successful at managing my depression, I have found it very difficult to get to this stage and am curious to find out other people’s experiences. As a result for my dissertation (I'm a student) I am researching people’s experiences of access to
treatments for depression.
If you are over 18 and have sought
treatment for depression whilst living in the UK please consider filling in my
survey.
The purpose of my research is to investigate individuals’ experiences
of treatment seeking for depression and to look for trends and patterns concerning barriers to receiving treatment, preferred treatments and whether gender and age have an effect on access to treatments.
The survey will ask questions on your personal experience of seeking
treatment for depression and it should take no longer than 5 minutes to
complete. It will not collect any identifiable information so your identity will remain anonymous.
If you do choose to take the survey you will be volunteering to contribute to understandings about
availability and access to treatment for depression. If you know anyone who might be interested in taking this survey please feel free to send them the link below.

Many thanks for your consideration,
