Ten years of a terminal illness & a newbee tels me I am healthy?????

nono  My Rheumatologist retired and left me in the hands of the wolf. All his patients were redirected back to their PCP's. I have had Lupus for 10 years, habe the positive labs, X-rays, MRI's, CT scans, and any other dern thing you can think of. My last visit and blood work showed a SED rate of 50 and my ANA was pos with 1:640 w/CREST variant and a centremere pattern leaning to another auto immune disease. I bout hit the roof when I got his E mail on Saturday with the joyous news. That means for 10 years I have put myself, husband, family through a living hell???? Well, if it's not Lupus, what is it. Dr. so and so need to go get a degree at Mr. Goodwrench. What a putz and I will have a little alk with the man on Monday. Hold good thoughts.

The new Dr. told you that you don't have Lupus?! I do think this definitely needs to be addressed!! You seem like you are a direct person and that's what you'll have to be with this-you need some answers. Did this new Dr. send any blood test results, or anything to back this up?? What made him think this? I always love it when they email, mail or leave messages, and then are closed for the Holiday weekend after dropping a bomb!

Please know that I'm in your corner! And don't forget to let us know what happens after the feather's fly!?

Hey Lefty,

I'm sorry you have to deal with another new doc. That's a rough one. I am confident that your PCP will refer you to another rheumy. You have too much going on for a primary care doc to manage. There may eventually be a silver lining to this cloud if you find a better rheumy.

BTW . . . what did you decide to do about your back? Just wondering.

Ah-ha! Another Dr who needs a little tune-up from the hob-nailed combat boots from the lupus board, along with the slapping commitee!

Guess we should start making notches in the sole of the boots.

Seriously though, this guy is nuts!
