ive lost my best friend cause of a boy

hello i need some advice .im 15 years old and my freind and i both fancied this lad but he choose me and i was really happy .

The problem i have now is that my best friend wont speak to me its made me so fed up and down .

This is my first proper boyfriend and i think im im love .

I do understand that my best friend must be feeling fed up as well but she wont even talk to me ive tryed everything .

Please advice thanks nono confused

Hi Sophie,

Welcome to the forum. Though this just sounds like a life situation and really not depression, I will still tell you how I see it. You are moving on with life. You met a nice boy and you are happy. Your friend feels like they have lost everything because you are with your boyfriend now. That is natural. And you shouldn't have to make a choice between the two. I am sorry it happened, but it is just the way that it is. You can keep trying to contact your friend, but realize it doesn't feel the same to them anymore. They feel like they have to share you now. That probably makes them feel a little lonely. Try not to feel guilty for being happy, this is jusst the way that it is now. Try to accept that. You are actually the one who made a change...

That is good Sophie. I hope this all works out. Just don't feel guilty for being happy. Try to keep in touch with your friend once in a while too. But things do change in life. That is normal...

Either your friend will come around, or she won't. She may just need time to sort out her own feelings...imagine if the situation were reversed and she was the one who caught the boy. You would probably need some time to get over him, right?

Try to be happy, like the others said, and just give her some space.
