I have been suffering from being terribly tired and sleepiness, just falling asleep in my chair, even when eating or drinking. Also from a lot of shoulder, arm and back pain. Don't know about test yet. Have to see a bone doctor and have a thyroid ultrasound. I have been doing some thinking and some research. This is only about the tiredness and sleepiness. A month ago I was put on Pristiq 50 mg. I was to cut down on the wellbutrin to get weaned off it. I don't know if getting off wellbutrin made me have these problems or if it was side effects of the Pristiq. The research I found was that Pristiq can make you do this and make you feel really bad, which may go away. Yesterday and today I haven't fallen asleep although I'm still pretty tired and I have taken naps. I still feel pretty bad but I'm hoping this could be side effects and may be going away. I also have abnormal diarrhea, every time I eat. That is also a side effect of pristiq. Hope that goes away. The comments about pristiq are good and bad but a lot of people say they feel better than they have in a long time and with little side effects. Others say they feel worse and couldn't keep taking it long enough to find out if they would go away. I have to go back to my doctor tomorrow and I want to keep taking it a while longer too find out. Does anyone know about the side effects or anything about taking pristiq?  redface

I gave your thread a title, you get more responses that way...

I am taking pristiq. I have for a couple of years now. No side effects from it. But I took effexor before and didn't have any, so the transition was smoothe.

Depending on how long you have been taking it, usually the side effects go away in a couple of weeks. Why did you switch from wellbutrin to pristiq? Did the wellbutrin stop working for you? I couldn't tolerate wellbutrin at a high dose and that was what I needed for it to work. It made me very nervous, I couldn't sleep and it made food taste funny. So I switched to effexor and was on that for many years.

I hope that the pristiq works for you and that you get feedback here on the forum.

Thanks Karen, The wellbutrin wasn't working for me. I also had trouble sleeping on it. Now i can't stay awake and feel so bad and tired and no energy. Thanks for giving my thread a title. Is that something i should do and what is a thread title? Thanks.

There are 25 threads on the first page of the depression forum where the members post back and forth. Yours didn't have a subject (or title) so I gave it one. I don't know what you see when you come to the forum, but you should see the 25 threads on the depression forum. Try scouting around on the HealingWell forum and you should see what I am talking about. I noticed another member couldn't see the threads and I am wondering why. Maybe it is how you find the forum. Through an internet search? I hope that you can read the other threads because some are very interesting.
