Wellbutrin and Caffeine?

Hello all,
I'm new to the forum. Just started Wellbutrin 150mg yesterday and believe it or not I am positive that I am feeling the effects. I have been on Lexapro and Citalophram in the past and do not remember feeling the effects on the 2nd day NOR having the type of "side effects" I've been experiencing.
To cope with the sleepiness and fogginess I have/had while being depressed (and also because I am a graduate student) I rely on caffeine a lot. A normal day I typically have 2-3 cups and if I'm working on a project it's more than that.
Anywho, yesterday and today I've been feeling VERY alert and awake but to the point where I'm a bit jittery and may have rapid heart beat. In reading my perscription paperwork I did not see anything in regard to caffeine consumption while taking Wellbutrin. Wondering if anyone in the community knows about this interaction.

Wellbutrin is a stimulant type of antidepressant. At least it was for me. I noticed a difference rather quickly too. I loved the way that it made me think clearly. I just needed a high dose for my depression and that eventually made me nervous and I couldn't sleep. I hope that does not happen to you. Wellbutrin is a good antidepressant for the ones it works well for.

I have not heard anything about caffeine, this might just be a side effect that will go away in a couple of weeks, but if it is bothersome, do call your doctor.

In the meantime, I would back off the coffee and see how you feel.
