hi all, not sure if I should even post this here, but here goes nothing....

I am Jules, 42, from Suffolk UK.

Not really sure where to start to be honest as don't know if I have depression or what, but here goes.

Basically I cry at the drop of a hat, worry about everything, especially health issues, seem to be paranoid about getting the "C" word. Which in turn set's my IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) off, it's a vicious circle as stress and worry make's it worse.

Take today, I found one of my breast's had a discharge so spent the entire day examining myself and freaking out and crying, thinking the worse, until I went to see my Nurse Practitioner at my local surgery, who told me she didn't think it was anything to worry about. Whilst I was there I did mention how easy I cry etc. she mentioned "Low Mood", and just told me if I need to make another appointment to do so, but really don't know weather to or not :/

Am I pre-menopausal, I have no idea to be honest. Been feeling like this for a year or so now.

So as you can see I am rather confused, and I know if I go back to my GP surgery I'll clam up and won't be able to tell him/her what is my problem.

My name is Alexis you will meet alot of nice people that can give you guidance and tell you what they think you should do. as Myself I have Depression but had it since 2007 after my grandfather passed away. I am only going to be 30 in sept so what happens in a woman's persective as you get older do we just start falling apart Lol . Alexis

I went into menopause early in life, well, kind of early. But I dealt with perimenopause for a long time. It started in my 30's. I used hormones and antidepressants to combat it. It is no fun, from the moodiness down to the night sweats. Now it is hotflashes. LOL...

Keep posting as it does you good. I agree with Carl, make a list of all the points that you want to cover. Did the nurse say that the discharge was normal? Have you had children? I would bring that up to the doctor too. Just to be on the safe side.

Welcome jules, You have found us, we are a faithful bunch ready to help all we can. I am always coming here to get fixed, then start reading other posts, usually find my problem, or close to it, so I feel so much better. So, then I can hang around and maybe help someone else. I came here ten minutes ago ready to pour out my miseries, wanting some good advice. I find we have a new member and wha-lah, here you are and I feel better already.
