I hold all my tension in my neck and shoulders, but I do grit my teeth too. There are medications that you can take during pms. I use to take Xanax to help me with anxiety for that time. I take it all the time now though, but am cutting it back.
We have an ibs forum I believe, you might want to check it out. I feel that can come with anxiety sometimes though.
My psychologist gives massages. I am so fortunate, I don't get them a lot, but I do get them. They do help. You can do yourself in your arms, neck and shoulders. That might help you.
I don't think you are a mess Sleepygirl, you just have some issues to deal with. Practice meditation. It basically works on your breathing and learning how to relax your muscles. I too carry a lot of tension in my muscles and I find that the meditation really does help. It helps me get to sleep at night too.
