Hi Michele, Trina, hope you're both doing okay.

Dad's back at the hospital (the good one this time). He had his clinic app yesterday, Since he wasn't doing too well, they decided to keep him. They're trying to push for him to get the Angiogram.

Look's like we will get rain here today.

I agree...we never seem to be satisfied with our weather, do we!

Don't know if I told you about the Carolina Wren that built a nest under the cover of my propane tank near our deck.

Bottom line, it's been quite a time with mama bird constantly giving her 'alert' calls when the cats (and humans) are nearby.
Finally, the youngsters have fledged... and I cleaned out the empty nest debris. Now, must find a way to keep them from nesting there again!

UA, thanks for update about your Dad. Why doesn't he want the angiogram? It's a non-invasive test, isn't it?

Sounds like a good day for an ice-cream Karen. Lol
Our weather here is unpredictable. Once minute the sun if out, the next minute, the rain comes from nowhere. We only have two seasons here.

Joyce, I recall reading somewhere that it's hard to keep Wren's from nesting no matter what you do. I don't know if it's for real though.
How did the CAT Scan go with John?

My dad wants/needs the Angiogram. The doctor's are trying to do whatever they can so the government can approve the funds for the test since his health situation is not too good. I know some people who had to wait months to get approvals for these things. I guess we just have to wait patiently.

I'm not sure if it's considered non-invasive. For his last two, a dye was placed by his leg/groin and it was sent up to check his blockages and the percentages.

Thanks UA for the explanation. I thought your Dad didn't want the test. Must have read it wrong. Invasive is when you get cut open, I guess inserting a needle for IV doesn't 'count'.

The wren nest location was under the lid of a five foot high propane tank which is made of metal. The lid (cover) has two open areas along the sides (for ventilation, I guess).
My plan is to cover those openings with screening material, so they can't get in.

If the wrens want to nest in any of our trees...that's fine!

oops...forgot to mention that we won't know the results of John's CT scan until his appointment with doctor on the 26th

Thanks for 'asking'. Haven't been quite up to par for almost a week. Kinda suspect it has something to do with my tooth, perhaps an infection. Unfortunately, the extraction is still eleven days away.

Joyce, call the doctor and get on some antibotics. An infection can delay the extraction. Poor sweetie. I hope you feel better soon.

Gonna be a hot one here in Kansas City today. We have our first Head Advisory out today. I have to go out this afternoon for an appointment and yesterday I broke my sunglasses and NEED new ones. That's whats on my agenda today.

Same here in Sherbrooke, Canada.

Heat vaves after heat waves, for 3 weeks. Cant stand myself, appartment is 33 celsius at night, fans are running like crazy. In the cool bath 10 times a day, let it be over!

Tomorrow will be 42 celsius with humidex. I hate this. Had to vent, sorry!

It is super hot here today and suppose to be tomorrow, but cooling off on Saturday. I hope that they are right. I wish it would cool off tomorrow, or tonight. It rained very little and just got more humid. We have had the heat wave too. But in the 90's. Upper 90's.

I hope you all can stay cool and comfortable.
