It is a beautiful day here in Northern lower Michigan!  Not so hot today!!!

Hello getting by ...

   It's almost the end of the day ... hope you had a good Sunday.

   I just got back from my Mothers house, and my heart is warm. My daughter worked her head off this afternoon over there on the finishing touches of the house. The closing is set for Friday. All the tough work is done. Sometimes, kids will surprise you ..... makes me feel good!

   She "texts" her life away - it seems at times. But, she did somethings for grandma - and for me - in a totally unselfish way! She's terrific.

   Yep, I had a good Sunday.

That is awesome news Gizzy'n me,

The nice surprises of life I would say. I am almost ready for bed. Watching Ray Donavan I think it is called. Not too many good shows any more, and the ones that are, are on late I guess.

I am really happy for you. I hope that good things continue. You raised her, so you must of done the right things...

A late Good Morning ...

   Nothing quite like getting woken up by a "yodeling" Samoyed. Just wish his timeclock was set for 7am instead of 5am! But we took our little daily car ride just past 7am, and the yodeling continued when we drove past a pair of Great Pyrenees. Darn - those dogs are big!!!

   At 7am, the yodeling is funny - even cute! At 5am, it ain't neither!!!!!

   Have a great day. Looks like another humid one here!

To all ...

   The day is getting nicer ... humidity is down a little ... no sign of thunderstorms for tonight.

   Went to the Oncologist early today ... blood cell count was good ... no procrit shot today ... got a green light to start back in my old Wellness Program ... YEAH!!!!!!!!!

To getting by ...

   Yep ... Gizzy and I go for a ride every morning. He loves the car. He loves other dogs. And since he backs down a little from humans, I take him thru the drive-up for coffee every morning - between three different places.  

"Under the Dome" tonight ... sure seems a little Spielburgish to me!

I went to bed before Under the Dome started. Was just too tired to watch it. Bummer. I am glad you take Gizzy for a ride daily. I bet he loves that. I forgot what kind of dog he was. I have a german shepherd. She tries to get all the cars that go by so she has to ride in the back seat. Sometimes I have to tie her so she doesn't jump around too much. I got some spray that is suppose to calm her down in the vehicle. I will try it next time.

We had a little thunderstorm this morning. Jasmine is scared so she woke me up getting on my pillow.

Good Morning Everyone,

Karen, dad is okay. Still at the hospital. We're hoping he'll get discharged this week. The docs have him on standby as an emergency since last week and they have been trying to fit him in for the Angiogram.

I only heard the good news about the new heir this morning. I'm soo excited for them.

Gizzy'n me: Glad your blood cells count was good.

Trina: hope you have fun gardening.

Morning All ......

   It looks like another mid-80's type of day today with moderate humidity. But ... and a big one ... remember Winter when it was dark - not just in the morning but all day? The sun sure is nice!!!!

   Have a happy day with some sun in your face.

P.S. - yesterday I signed off by saying "Under The Dome" was Spielburgish! I checked the credits last night .... Duhh!!!! ...... it's based on a Steven King novel with Spielburg as one of the producers!

To getting by ....

   I never had a German Shepard but always liked them. My last dog, was a Norweigan Elkhound (same coloring as a German Shepard and identical ears) - but only about 48 pounds (short legs)! I still miss Bear! He was with me for just over 15-years.

   Gizmo though, is a Samoyed. They're a lot like a Husky except all white and a little smaller. Both are "northern breeds" ... must be something about them I like I guess.

Is Gizmo white? Most Samoyeds are aren't they? I had an Australian cattledog mix that lived 14 years. She was an awesome dog. She kind of reminded me of the elkhound. She was brindle though. But had a body like the Aussie. I loved her so much. Was so sad when she died. She outlived three of my other dogs. She was a long time friend. Brings tears to my eyes when I think about her. Her name was Chance. I got her from my neighbors, they neglected her badly. She was the cutest puppy though. I knew I wanted her even then.

I missed "under the dome" last night, it comes on so late. I was tired. So I went to bed before it even started. I wanted to see it though, maybe they will run a rerun. A lot of the shows I like come on so late. I like that Swamp People on the history channel, but it doesn't start until 10:00, oh well... The do show replays of that though so I can catch what I missed.

   Sorry JB1 about your meds. I have several times in the past year stopped taking some of my meds without the doctors knowing it first. Yesterday, I fessed up to my Oncology Practioner Nurse that I have not been taking the Prednisone, Spiriva or Calcium regularily for a few months now.

   I had questions of meds from the Prostate Cancer section, and brought them up to her. Darn ... I accidentaly dun right - almost - on some of them!!! She told me to stop taking the Prednisone while I'm on my newest drug - Xtandi ... and that the HW group was correct ... should not be taking a multiple vitamin while taking meds for advanced prostate cancer. 

   And - yep to 'getting by', Gizmo is white with just a touch of bisque around his ears. I think I know the cattle dog you're talking about. I remember seeing on "The Dog Whisperer" one of his dogs to be re-trained was an Australian Cattle Dog ... and when I saw that I almost fell out of my chair. His head looked just like "Bear" my old Elkie ... I had to tell my daughter. She really loved him.

   Well, in these parts, it didn't get as warm as I thought it would today ... topped out at about 79 degrees but with some humidity.It's almost nice enough outside to do some badly needed pruning of shrubs.

It is cool here today,. I just got back from my therapy session.

I love the dog whisperer. He isn't on our channel anymore. I miss him, but follow some on facebook. I really enjoy watching Cesar.

I love dogs so much. They have always been my best friends. I hate when I lose them. Mine follows me from room to room. Never leaving my side. That is good and bad. She follows me to the bathroom, sleeps with me. Everything.

Nothing quite like a cool front ... coming in ... with no drama!

What a beauty of a late afternoon here ... sunny, bright blue skies, bright white clouds ... maybe in the mid-70's with lowered humidity ...

Did I just get transported to San Diego?

Naw! ... No such luck!

Was it this nice everywhere? Probably not!

hi guys wish i was back in the sunshine of the uk. it is bitterly cold back here in my part of australia. i am re-adjusting, and i have walked my fur-ball today. i have a lot of clothes to put away. and washing to do. just thought i would say g'day. hope everyone is doing well. have been listening to some classic live jimi hendrix today. my partner found it in a charity shop. it is a real classic. all the good stuff is on it. hey joe, purple haze, fire, etc. it is awesome. i need to call my eye specialist as i have heard nothing from him in over 2 and a half months. he refered me to the professor for some possible surgery on my bad eye, so i will look into this.

my vision is holding okay. my sugars are relatively good. it was good to stretch my legs today after a few days of rest. i have been sorting stuff out today. more to do tomorrow. have a nice day guys. much love to all,

Good morning All,

Jimmie H, good stuff Jamie. I can only assume you have a turntable to play it on!

Karen, my husband watches under the dome, I am asleep by then or upstairs reading. I up so early with the dogs, that i can not stay up that late and concentrate on a show. Plus the TV hurts my eyes by then.

I am reading a book I started yesterday entitled "The Silence of John" by D S Lliteras. I can not put it down! It is about Good Friday and the the days after; and women that were at the foot of the cross with John.
Very descriptive and puts you right there with them and there conversations and the rain and thunder. It is a novel.

Anyway, off to snuggle with my pups and read, good day all.

Wednesday am:  

   Wow! A crisp morning at the end of July near Chi-town? It was 63 degrees out when coming back from our daily ride.

   getting by - Giz only spotted one little dog though - so it wasn't a good ride for him. But ... what a refreshing way to start the day - bright sun, light breeze and 63 degrees!!!

   Jimi Hendrix ... doesn't have to be on vinyl or 8-track BnotAfraid. Twenty years ago, I found one of his old albums re-mastered on CD.

   And jamiee ...... ever listened to Stevie Ray Vaughn?

   Hendrix was the first, but you've gotta give Stevie Ray Vaughn a chance if you haven't heard him ... especially "Little Wing"! Just thinking about that song gives me goose-bumps! Another superb talent lost early in life - in his case, a plane crash. And a friend of mine went to see his outdoor concert in Wisconsin, the night his plane went down ..... that was a sad day!!!

   All of a sudden, I want to get out some Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble! Nawww ... too loud for this time of day!!!

Hiya getting by ....

   Been away from the computer for 8 hours or so .... but ... Stevie Ray Vaughn was one heckuva guitar player/singer ..... strong in Tex-Mex Blues, if you want to call it that. Double Trouble was his groups name, at least on, two CD's ... and I think he had at least one brother in that group.

   I haven't listened to "Little Wing" in 10-years or more - but it was a solo guitar (very deep funky blues) number that Hendrix sort-of made popular long ago. Stevie Ray did it so well ... I can remember after hearing it the first time, the announcer stated - "that was Little Wing ... played by Stevie Ray Vaughn - and played even better than Jimi Hendrix"!

   It was that good!

   Actually, I think his brother was the drummer in Double Trouble!

I hope that you had a good day. I did. I don't know if I mentioned it, but I found out last week that I needed to take diabetes medicine. I was suppose to see a dietician but nobody has called me yet. But I started trying to eat healthier. I feel a lot better with the medication and diet. So I had a very good day today. I like to be able to see it. I walked Jasmine twice, found out I lost a total of 5 pounds. Life is good!!!

I will have to find the cd that I think I have, it might be a cassette even. I am curious which one I have. There was a song I really liked and I can't remember what it was, oh well...

I have a whole lot of vinyl albums. Probably 100 or more. I don't know what to do with them. Maybe sell them on ebay or something. haha...
