frantic help me please

I have been struggling with figuring simple math for sometime. Now, I cannot figure out how to turn 2 rugs to fit in my living from. I want to buy 2 identical rugs for my living room. I am truly losing it. What my family has been saying is RIGHT. Will this change? Please respond so I can tell more. I am now feeling just frantic because I am STUCK. No amount of figuring makes any sense. What can I do? Am I in the right place here?....thanks Cathy

How big are the rugs you want to buy and how big is your living room?

I gave my son my antique rug that was 10ft by 18ft. I dont want wall to wall carpet. I want to buy 2 area rugs to cover 10 or 12 by 18 to 20ft. I look at the numbers and I see nothing but confusion. Is this going to get worse and what is it.........thanks cathy

Two five by sevens should work. Or even two three by fives, depending on the amount of area you want to cover. They five by seven may be too big. I am not sure of the dementions of rugs, I may be thinking inches on photos. But I think I have a five by seven and it is rather big.

Its not the answer about the rugs that I am seeking so much. Its the why am I feeling confused. I think it must be a neuro. problem, is it all of my meds? Thats the question that I need help with. Have any of you had this same feeling of dementia? Its weird to be so confused, and still be able to understand that I am losing it.

I haven't had this confused problem before. It could be medication, did you start anything new? If it continues, maybe a call to the doc would be in order??? Have you had a lot of things on your mind lately? Maybe too much? Or maybe you are tired? Which ever it is, I hope that you feel better. Do let us know if it continues too. And know that we are all here for you.

It could be medication, you could be dehydrated. You could have yourself so worked up that you now have what is know as "math" fright" .

work the number down to one specific size. 10 x 12 or 12 x 18
measure and tap off the room with masking tape X's at the corners when the rug would be. This should bring a sense of the numbers back into your head.

If not call the doctor and make an appointment. Let them know what is going on.

remember you have been under a lot of stress lately, and to have a part of your brain shut down would not be unlikely.
