Glad to see your having a good day. I whacked and yes that is what I did my right foot on the metal mattress frame and it hurts. Just to be safe I went and had it x-rayed and no broken bones, just badly bruised and hurts like u know what! Kind of glad Im not working so I can take it easy! Other than hobbling around Im having a good day. Hot here today. Going to get hair cut, dropping off an application and come home and probably work on my jigsaw puzzle!

Ouch!!!

I am sorry you hurt your foot. Good thing you got it x-rayed, just to make sure it isn't broken. Bruised can hurt bad. I am glad you are having a good day though. It is clouding up here and looks like rain.

Had a good session in therapy yesterday. We worked on some trauma stuffs concerning the accident.

It's a very hot day today. Nice day for a snowcone.

I think we have some good news about dad...
Yesterday the doctors told him that they're going to do the Angiogram today. Haven't heard from him for the day so I'm hoping it's because they took him in the Catheterization Lab since this morning, and he's still there getting it done or recovering from it.

I'm glad there aren't any broken bones too! Although bruises can hurt worse I think. I'm staying off it and since im not working it's not hard to do- I'm good at being lazy! LOL

Hope everyone is having a great day. Its sunny and hot today but had rain the last two days and I think we have more coming around Friday.

Thanks forasking about Jasmine, she is doing good. I took her for her walk today, we both benefit from that. She is laying around today.

Good afternoon/evening ... however you view it:

   Tried something different today - took Gizzy out for a ride to get a jumbo hot dog at noon .... for me - not for him!!!

   Since he didn't spot one dog this morning ...... poop!!!!!! He did it again. There was one greyhound - but he didn't see it!!!! I don't know - maybe he needs glasses!!!! Maybe he thinks it's Spring ..... naw .... he was fixed by the vet in early 2012!!!

   And late this afternoon, went to the post office and then to pay my RE tax bill ... leaving Giz at home. Mistake ....... when I got home, he had ripped apart the 4-hour old hot dog bag, finished the few fries left, ripped up some of the paper remains - but left the half pickle alone.

   What a little (censored) sweetheart ..........................!!!!!!

Hey UA,

Start out by just going for five minutes or so at a time. Then gradually increase it. You would be surprised at how much energy you get from moving around some. Best wishes!

Sounds like Gizxy was trying to get rid of the trash for you. Lol!just tell him to put it all in the trash can next time.

I had an arthroscopic surgery done on my knee today. I'm really sore. My daughter is home and I can't sit for long before she needs me. I'm hoping to rest it a lot tonight.

They found my kneecap was "floating" off to the side. Now they want to schedule another surgery to etch a dent in my lower led up at the joint and slide my kneecap into that. That should keep it in place and stop the times when the kneecap manages to slide inside the joint. That is horrendous.

hi guys. i am hoping all is well. sorry about the knees and foot. nurse lisa and av. hping you feel better soon. hi to all, karen, gizzy and everyone i have missed. you know i love you all. glad that jazzy is doing well karen. buttons is good also. i had a big sleep in today. irene, my dear neighbour came over for a cuppa and i had just got up, it was nearly midday!! with all the toxicity around i think i was a tad stressed out, but i am very glad for some peace and quiet!! cloudy and cool here. time for a shower. have a great day guys.

Oh my! Sounds like we all need to get better! Lisa and AV I'm so sorry to hear that you are hurting. After 4 back surgeries, I hurt constantly and it's no fun.

Woke up to a barking dog this morning... Too early I might add.... Waiting on coffee!

Nothing much going on today. As a matter of fact there is nothing on my calendar at all!

Good morning all! Raining miserable day out today. I have a batch of chocolate sugar cookies chilling in the fridge.

Humphrey Bogart movies all day on TCM, so I think I will be couching it most of the day and working on crochet projects and enjoying old movies and self soothing at the same time!

Good morning all ......

   Zero dogs spotted again by Giz this morning! Hmmm! I guess the 7:30 to 8:00am timeslot doesn't work anymore. Giz was howling though on the way back home. As soon as I let him out of the car, he took off for one of his favorite spots ... and deposited some (I believe) digested french fries.

   AV - the post effects of your surgery sound painful - sorry!!!

   BnotAfraid - did you catch the biography of Bogart this morning? It was on here between 5am and 6am - just before the first Bogey film started. I'm sorry I missed most of it (in and out sleeping), but it was narrated by his son. Maybe it'll be on again soon.

   Hope everyone is well on this beauty (here) of a day ... 66 degrees at 7:40am with a light blue sky and the sun is out ... yeah!!!!!!

I can't tell what it is going to do today weatherwise. We had thunderstorms last night. Jasmine was scared and laid on my head while I was trying to sleep. I don't know why she is such a baby wehn it comes to storms.

Sorry for all the boo-boos, praying for your Dad and Gizzy and Jas are cracking me up. Kare, our dogs FLIP over thunder too. I wonder if Jas would wear one of those Thundershirts and give your head a break??

Katie starts Senior year in a week, so I have started researching financial aid AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH federal gov't forms-I already have a 3 ring binder full of crap. So confusing for my fibro brain. Her boyfriend moved to Baton Rouge, thank you sweet Jesus and she was not too broken up.

Weaning off effexor (down to 75mg) is roller coastery-very irritable but anyth9ing to get better.

Heat index 105 today.

PSych upped my effexor a few days ago, and I feel as if I have a better handle right now. Just made a dentists appointment, which is a huge start for me. Sis-in-law, who is in the mental health system in my hometown, told me how to go about getting a therapist, but to wait until my insurance craps out.

So, better. Crafting an email to my Aunt's minister. Getting ready to apply for substitute teaching. Cloudy humid day.

Thanks for posting. Mags, I am thinking of one of the thundershirts. I got her some pharemones that do help some. It is suppose to be of a mother nursing. It calms her a lilttle.

Myself, I am glad that the effexor is working for you. I took it for many years without any trouble.

Karen, two of my cats hate storms. They both hide and cry. I had both of them in bed with me for a while.

The forms for getting assistance for college are more tiring that the applications! I hate to think of going through all of that with my 2. Why can't stay younger longer?

Gizzy, I would think the 4 o'clock zone would be pretty busy. Is there a dog park nearby? That may be a good place to start.

I didn't rest my knee enough yesterday so I'm paying for that. I'm staying mostly off my feet now. I managed to dislocate my shoulder while I was sleeping. Took about an hour to pop it back in. I'm looking forward to the surgeries. I'm hoping that after them I will be able to work again!

You dislocated your shoulder in your sleep? Ouch, that must hurt. I am glad you got it back in. I cringe thinking about it.

I am sorry about your knee too. My knees always hurt. I have always had bad knees.

Hiya ....

   AV - I would be afraid to let Gizzy off a lead in a dog park. He listens about as well as a 2-year old boy who just finished a 1/2 pound of candy!!!!

   getting by - I checked with my vet a few weeks ago about Giz and his fear of thunder and lightning. To my surprise, the vet gave me a prescription of a human (low dose) tranquilizer. I used it once on the 4th of July!

   BnotAfraid - just checked the tv and the Bogart-fest is going on until 6am tomorrow - without a break! Darn .... "Caine Mutiny" is on but ends in the wee hours!!! "The Big Sleep" though is on a 7pm - CST!
