A positive post ....... yeah!!!!!
Even during some stressful times like now ... I find all kinds of things to be thankful for or things to simply cherish.
Big surprise - one of them is my 31-month old Samoyed slightly under-sized and at times slightly over-bearing male. He's just fun to be around, and I cherish his company and presence! Sometimes he wants to play at the worst times, but that's about his worst habit.
A very recent dinner out with my youngest daughter and her boyfriend. I would like to think of him some day being a son-in-law ... but that's not my business. We did however have a wonderful dinner out last Sunday night, and it reminded me how much I love that girl. She is truly a wonderful person and human being.
As I'm writing this, I can see how sunny it is thru the blinds behind my computer screen. My old office is in a loft with skylights above ... so it's such a happy place to be writing - bright and cheerful - one of the simpler things in my life that I cherish.
And the original story by Myself 09 reminded me of an experience of mine of about twenty years ago ... shortly after my divorce was final. I asked a neighbor out on a date (first date in over 20-years since before my marriage). We met walking our dogs ... what else - maybe a year prior!!!! I had my stately 65-pound Standard Poodle and she had (yep) a Samoyed - a female!!!!!
It was just a date - nothing romantic - but we both enjoyed music, and we did the (cool in this area) Ravinia Concert thing - complete with all kinds of food brought in an ice chest, a bottle of wine, two crystal glasses and a blanket for the outdoor concert. It was like a huge monkey was taken off of my back - first date since in my early 20's!!!!
Good memories ... it's good that they stay with you!
