L-theanine and ativan

I am in a bit of a panic on starting the l-theanine. What if it doesn't work and makes things worse?? It works on the gaba receptors so what if i'm so anxious after taking it that I have to take an ativan. Would i get a bad reAction from too much gaba? I dunt mind being drowsy... I just want to make sure that it's okay and i can take them together if need be.

Really want to give it a good try but I can't if i'm anxious about it!!!!

The best thing you could do Castillo is talk to your doctor. They would know more about it than we do. I take an antidepressant and Xanax. Plus abilify which is a mood stabilizer. The Xanax is like Ativan, and it works well with the other medications. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist. They would know best.

I hope that you feel better soon. Maybe somebody with experience with the l-theanine will come on.

I think often, they just do what we could do to get information. Technology is in our own hands sometimes, I hope you can get ahold of your doc and get some answers.
Keep posting too, sometimes we find answers here.

Thanks! I have read that it potentiates a benzo meaning it makes the effects stronger. Not a bad thing if your panic is too much to bear i guess but i don't believe I need that.

How is the theanine working for you? I get headaches past 200mg.
