Glad you got out and about, Karen. Parties can be fun. I can do parties, usually, but really large amounts of people make me tense. I have to prep for it. Remind myself to take patience and slow and steady. Once, we went to the Cherry Blossom Parade and that freaked us both out. Mothers and strollers are the worst.

Football! Got the pre-game show on now, though we don't get the Bears. They looked good in pre-season, Rob. We follow the Ravens and the Redskins, as we live mid-way between the two cities.
In a few minutes, I need to go prep my ribs for tomorrow night's game, after I double-check my fantasy line-up. I can imagine Gizzy needs reintroduction to the rituals of football, if it's anything like our house. My elderly cat used to give us a disgusted look and leave the room, but she would watch the Panthers.

We just got back from a nice bike-ride, after breakfast on the porch. Yesterday, we got the greatest deal!!!! We had been watching a table/chairs set at Sam's Club this summer, and yesterday the manager reduced it to 59 bucks. Sold! Nice and sturdy, perfect for our little balcony.

Struggling still with everything thats happened in the last week, will call my counselor first thing on Monday, been having nightmares...so now the emotional struggle begins...

Started out sunny here but then the rain came down pouring. Still waiting on my laundry to dry so I can iron them for the upcoming work week.

I get anxious about going places too, even going to work which I've been doing for over 5 years. Lol

Never hear about Great Pyranees Rob. I just googled them to learn about them. They look sooo cute. Hope you and Gizzy have fun watching the game.

Good morning all ......

   It's bright and sunny ... about 70 degrees at 8am ... and humid! It's supposed to be nasty today - in the mid 90's with a TH Index of about a 100 ...... pooooo!!!!

   No wonder there wasn't one dog out there being walked! What do they do with all that poo?

   At least Gizzy did his usual pee before going for the ride and poo just after getting back. I hope I didn't embarass him!

   Hope everyone has a good day, and if it's going to be in the 90's here - what is it going to be down south???? Stay cool ... stay inside!

It is going to be nicer today but 90 tomorrow, then steadily cooling off. So far that is the forecast. I know it can change. I am looking forward to the cooler weather so I can bake. I want to make some apple pies. I have been cheating through and buying crust. I make a good crust myself, but have been lazy as it is a lot of work. I bought flour though so I can make a crust if I have to. lol...

Chartreux, I am sorry you aren't feeling good. What does the doctor say? Is it migraines? I am sorry you are sad. I hope you feel better soon.

Rob, I am sorry it is so hot and humid. We sure have had a strange summer. Didn't find many berries yesterday, they must be done.

WHO DAT NATION RISES AGAIN!!!!

 Our Saints beat their arch-rival the dirty birds (FALCONS) yesterday-barely!! They had such a sad year last season w/ all the scandals and suspensions Saintly they were not-lol

Sorry Chart-hope you get some help today.

Good job on hanging withe grandkids Karen-I am not sure I could do that-I am glad KK is older now. I avoid crowds also-I get so irritated and hurting.

Hey bayoub2 ......

   Congrats ...... on the game. The Saints got one terribly hard slap on the wrist last year ... and with one of the three top quarterbacks in football too. I felt for Drew Brees last year.

   And I want to thank the Saints for letting go of their Prowl Bowl Left Tackle in the off-season so the Bears could get him!!!! Yeah!!! He's pretty good!

   The Saints certainly should make the playoffs this year!

Congrats to both the Saints and the Bears. They got the wins.

Boy, the Giants looked bad last night. I want anyone to beat the Cowboys, so I'm sad.

My boys are tonight, and we shall see how RGIII has rehabbed.

Job searching today. Feeling anxious. Just need to do it.

Yes ...... the Giants looked terrible last night. I also am not a fan of the so-called America's team ... the Cowboys!

Washington has really turned around since Shanahan got there. Of course it took two or three years, but with RGIII, and the way NY looked last night - they should win the division.

Trivia time ......... Shanahan went to the same high school as I did - years apart though! And so did a guy by the name of Jimmy Rogers - he used to be the head coach of the Boston Celtics when they had a great team winning several NBA championships. And I did vaguely know him in high school. My H.S. girlfriend was in the same click as his H.S. girlfriend. Ah, what a small world we have!

My BF calls then The Cow-Girls.

We do look better than in recent years. The o-line is in better shape, but the defense still worries me, as always. Dallas looked better than expected last night, so we shall see.

It is always a small world out there. It amazes me, sometimes, when confronted with the connections.

I just called a counseling services, and talked to a nice woman. They are processing myself, and so I hope to be set up with a counselor soon. I am so anxious about the job search--I need all the help I can get.

Perhaps it is time for a small pity-party. Then back to work. Small steps lead to big steps which lead to change. Too much too soon is unsustainable.

Hi all!

Sounds like everyone enjoyed the football games this weekend. My Houston Texans play tonight- keeping my fingers crossed.

Went to the eye doctor Saturday and learned that I need bifocals. They should be here within 7 days. I hope sooner-everything is just one big blur. And I got prescription sunglasses too- that total bill was $800- I nearly died. But I always get the anti glare, scratch resistant, etc

Decent day with at work today. Not much else going on. Except I feel a sore throat coming on. Not good.

WOW ...... I didn't expect any enthusiasm for football from the ladies!!!

   Well, a slightly later drive this morning - but muggy is the key word! Yuk!!! Hey, this weather is supposed to be late July in these parts .... what gives!!!!

   Anyhow, Giz had a pretty good morning - although he was a little sick (rare)! But he did see the two Pyranees ... and ... for the first time ... a Labradoodle! Son-of-a-gun ... a cross between an apricot Standard Poodle and (I guess) a Yellow Lab. It looked mostly standard poodle though.

   To the football ladies out there .............

   To Myself09 - the Redskins nearly pulled out a bad game in the 4th quarter. I think it just proves you can't skip the pre-season games and then play at 100% for the first meaningful game. As I watched the Bears on Sunday, two of their pro-bowl players on defense barely played in the pre-season ... and sure enough, their names were barely called during the first game of the season.

   To Michelle - I didn't stay up to see the Houston game, but first ... Houston has one heckuva defensive end (I think just starting his third year) and the rest of the team should place them in one of the top three or four teams in the AFC ... they're good!!!  

   To Karen - yep Detroit won ... they are better this year ... they finally have a running back in Reggie Busch ... and of course, they do have the best wide receiver in football. And since last year, the Bears do ... finally ... have a good receiver - almost as good as Calvin!

   Say ladies ... that was fun!!!

   Everyone - have a good day and hope any ailments are better.

Good morning all. I am so bummed, I had a Detroit Tiger ring, the old English D, that was hand made out of silver and I lost it. It is my good luck charm for the team. Oh well, maybe I will find it. It was a gift though and like I said, hand made. What bad luck for me...

I hope everybody is having a good day today. Yea, we ladies like our sports too. I am excited as the winter Olympics is this year I heard. I like the skating.

The Redskins adapted in the middle of the third half, but it was too little too late. My friends in Phillie are exuberant and excited, as well they should be. BF thinks RGII ought not to have started yet... I disagree. I think he needed more reps in the pre-season, to prepare himself after injury. That, or let him play a half and then Cousins play a half. But the skinnies got the read on the Eaglies finally, but it was too late.

My fantasy team won, though! I always root for the lions, but not Suh. I also have Matt Staub as my backup QB. I do like the Texans.

And I, too, love the Winter Olympics!

At the library today working on the resume. Then to the gym, and home for leftovers. Typical Tuesday.

Trina: Hope both your appointments goes well.

I broke piece of one of my jaw tooth yesterday :-( It's broken from the gum so it pains. Thank God it's not a front tooth so it's not visible to the public. I'll have to visit the dentist weekend. Busy with work for the remainder of the week.
