Edited myself, sorry if the post or thread does not make sense anymore, because of my edit. The general idea was for some ideas on looking at work surroundings, to fathom out, how to feel happier at work.

I am greatful for all who responded, many best wishes! It definitely helped to think about :)

I find when my mind is thinking about negative things, I need to focus on what I am doing more. Being mindful. It helps keep thoughts positive. Can you listen to an mp3 player or anything at work that would allow you to listen to music? Most places can't.

I guess I am lucky, I am happy most of the time. I don't really know how I do it, but I do meditate, stay in the present and try to be happy. I don't know if this helps any or not. I hope so.

Thank you Karen! Yes, any thoughts are helpful to me :)

I can listen to an MP3, but in my position I think it would distract me, in my circumstances at work.

I used to listen to music whilst sewing, knitting or watching TV  thank you for reminding me of that :) I kind of forgot a bit.

hmmm. I think the embarrassing photos would be our "happiness aides" LOL Just kidding.

I agree with Karen, mindfulness is awesome and I like to spend time outside in fresh air.

For specifically at work interacting more with co-workers if possible. Talking positively with other people (finding

out their hobbies, likes, ect. is a great way to perk up at work. Also going for walks (with a co-worker if possible) during breaks. Don't spend breaks doing stuff at a desk - texting, checking facebook or emails. I used to work in an office attached to a large warehouse and would walk through the warehouse with a group of women every break. It was my favorite part of the day. Or any chance you can step outside for a few minutes, do it. A little sunshine always helps.
