Daily Check In Thread For All!!! #55

Thanks for the positive comments about my cats, they are my life I couldn't live without them.

My kitties decided to interrupt my bath yesterday. Mojo, my big orange tabby, likes to stand on the side of the tub and try to drink the bath water. While he was sniffing everything Bernie, our newest kitty, pushed Mojo into the tub. Poor Moji took off, soaking wet. He hid under my bed for a couple hours. Since then he has steered clear of the bathroom. Cats are a lot like kids. You can't go to the bathroom alone if either are in the home!

I've got a job interview on Tuesday. It's for a call center so it won't be physically demanding. It offers benefits and the pay is great. I also have one for working with infants in a nursery school. I'd live the nursery school one ( I love kids) but either would be great. I'm only looking for part time work for now. I don't have any help with the kids anymore so I need to be home when they are.

Good morning all .........

   It was 43 degrees out with heavy overcast at 7:30am this morning - but, we have not had a hard freeze yet, so the trees are confused (with leaf colors). Still have 5-blooms left on my large planter geranium - and it's nearly November!

   Gizzy was a good boy this morning ... got up at 5:30am, gave him some water, and he laid down next to me on the sofa ... letting me sleep until nearly 7:30am! What a good boy .... and he kept his legs crossed for 2-hours too.

   He just barely spotted the two big Pyraneese about a block away ... and after getting back the Border Collie, Toby - across the street. He saw, before I saw, a very pudgy chihuahua on the way to DD. Why are so many chihuahuas so pudgy? Is it the donuts? That little guy must have been a 20-pounder when he shoulda been 8 to 10-pounds! 

Hey AV ...... tubs and cats - not a good mix are they? The last time I had Gizzy in the tub, he was about a 20-pound puppy ... and that was a handfull!!!

Hey Karen ..... used to do the chili like you just mentioned. I would make about 1/2 of a 10-quart pot - but was too lazy last Winter - maybe this year!

Hey Myself ..... sure was not a yawner was it? Almost 90-points combined. Yep - concerned about the Bear defense. We lost 3-starters for the season earlier - and two important starters yesterday late in the game.

Hey Cat ...... how come my Lexapro has no alcoholic content? (kidding of course!)

Today is another great day I feel great and it's sort of  scary ,feeling good is a foreign feeling but I ain't complaining I love this feeling! I am now broke. Went to the Doctor and she gave me antibiotics which was $25 she also  refilled my Saphris which was $338.00. Whoa is me!

 

Rob, your Lexapro should have a smidgen of alcohol because a little alcohol  never hurt anyone but me LOL, I'm an alcoholic so they don't put any in mine. Maybe you should tell them you aren't next time you get them filled maybe they'll put some in the tablets for you.

 

Jesse my big beautiful black cat is laying on my lap as I type this, Trip and Maggie are trying to see who gets petted the most if I pet one I have to pet the other one, so I have one hand on each cat when they are near.  Lulu and the new kitty are getting along great I had them both in my lap yesterday and both were purring and cleaning each other

 

Karen will you please send me some of your lasagna I love mine with extra cheese too.

I just pulled it out of the oven. I let it set 15 minutes and then I can dig in... I hope it turned out good. I hope I put enough spices in it. I will let you all know...

HappyBean, I am so glad you did some drawing. Many of good artwork was done by a depressed person. I find I do best when I am depressed, but it is hard to get oneself to do so. Nothing sounds good, you know? I am glad you pushed yourself past that point... YAY!!! And support is what you get here. We do the best we can! You are so welcome!!!

So sorry about Sally. My Dharma did that before we had to put her down. She couldn't hold any food down then no water. Poor girl. I hate when that time comes. But you and her had many good years together. So that is awesome... You are doing the right thing.

I am glad that Pat is recovering well. And that your BIL is eating on his own. I do know about the "honeymoon" or "rally". It happens a lot. But it is always nice to see them seem to feel good. Even if it is for only a short while.

I think it is so cool about the dried flowers. I wish I could see them. Maybe if I go to etsy...

My son pointed this out to me tonight. He kept calling me while he was showering and I kept telling him he could wash his own hair ( is this a boy thing? He will say he has washed but really only got it wet). Anyway, he kept calling so I went in to find out what he wanted. He told me to watch Hunter ( our itty, bitty kitty). At first I didn't see her but finally noticed her tail poking out from under the shower curtain. We have an outer curtain and an inner liner. Cade had pushed back the curtain to get out so Hunter was hidden, except for her tail. He then pushed open the liner just enough to see her face ( big golden eyes). She automatically scooted back until you couldn't see her. She kept trying to hide no matter how he moved the curtain. It was funny...... Then I smelled Cade's hair and it wasn't clean! Lol

I was offered a position today at the nursing home I worked in before my fibromyalgia became a problem. They are willing to offer me part time work at my old pay scale. I'm just afraid I can't handle the physicality of cna work. My shoulder hasn't fully bounced back yet and the arthritis in my knees and hips are causing lots of falls.

I saw my rheumatologist and she told me that I have the joints of a 70 year old. My hips and knees are bad and she wants me to have an arthroscopic procedure done on my right knee. She thinks by cleaning out damaged cartilage and repairing issues with the tendons that it can put off knee replacement for a while. That's a lot when I'm responsible for the kids and kitties with no help. I doubt their father will want to keep the kids for any night that he doesn't want to show off to girls that he's a great dad. Ugh!!

Hi Everyone,

I won't be around much today, I have drive 50 miles to see a lawyer and funeral direct. Husband Aunt passed away. We are trying to settle things to get into the house. UGH!
