Hello hullahoops .......
I can feel for you - especially the job pressures. I'll never understand what goes thru an employers mind to put so much pressure on an employee - apparently thinking that an iron hand brings the best results. How stupid of them.
I once worked for a small professsional firm (18-people) and my job was essentially to supervise about 6 of them while doing some of my own work. We were told that our chargeable hours could not fall below 90% of our total hours ... and that we needed to record every 6-minutes of our time - for billing or evaluation purposes.
Do companies not realize that heavy handed tactics break down the morales of the employees ... thereby lowering production and increasing tension and people quiting???
Please accept a lot of credit for what you're trying to do for yourself, your son and your futures. A psychologist (sometimes a scary word) can really help one re-focus while going thru a lot of tension. A prescription for something to reduce your internal tension may help alot. A GP is not a bad place to start.
I started an anti-depressant - for the first time in my life recently for some very difficult times - and I know I'm old enough to be your father. So .... there can be a right time even for medication to help.
Wishing you the best in all your goals.
Rob and Gizzy
