Daily Check In For All!!! #59

Hugs, Karen...

   My little doggie was one tired puppy by 9am! On our daily drive, he saw a record 7-different dogs. Then after gettting back home, I met a neighbor walking her dog and Gizzy was jumped on and licked by a 4-1/2 month old collie/shepard mix non-stop for over 1/2 hour. And then, another neighbor came over with her 2-year old lab mix .... so the three of them played for another 20-minutes. And he almost had a short play session with a 75-pound pit bull who was walking by on the bicycle path below.

   So .... Gizzy made two new friends - and he was so happy!!! Now he's sleeping off the puppy play sesssion! Not one growl from any of the three dogs ... but lots and lots of tangled leashes!

   UA ....... no big plans for the day - but gonna have Sea Scallops tonight with creamed spinach ... Key Lime pie for dessert!!! The crab legs didn't look good - and the scallops are so easy and quick to sautee! I just hope I get a call from my disappearing (older) daughter ... am sure the youngest will call even though she's away on a business trip.

   JB1 ...... best wishes on your new dosage size of meds - and hopefully with no side effects.

   Cass ....... on my third day of antibiotics and albuterol. The cough is deep as ever - but the breathing is much better. Hope yours is better.

   Mags ........ hope all is as well as it could be.

   Karen ....... have you heard from Jamiee recently - haven't seen a post for several days!!!

   A little dreary out today but 45 degrees at 8am ..... not bad for this time of year here. Hope everyone has a good day!

Thank you so much for the support. I just keep praying that God will call her Home. She made it thru the night but is not eating so end is near.

Rob-you're a busy boy!!! Happy Birthday! Glad Giz is making new friends.. Hope your COPD episode dies down. Hospice is the most wonderful thing!! My Mom had at home care and my BIL was in a hospice hospital. They will lift some of that heavy burden for you, always knowledgeable and caring (for your Mom and YOU). You're in my prayers.

Cass-thanks for the comfort and I hope you recover quickly-we are all getting sinus infections from all the pollen down here-it is that time of year.

Myself- get better quick!  Subbing sounds so daunting to me. After I got disability, I thought of subbing but they paid $40/day!!!

UA-thank you for the kindness. Sally is a real trooper and so stubborn-I keep telling her it is ok to let go!

JB-hope the up in welbutrin helps. I was on 300xl for 5 years and it was a godsend. Good luck

Karen- so glad you are posting and thanks for Sally. I know you understand and that is a comfort.

I just got back from my psych. I'm going up to cymbalta 90 and provigil 200mg. He is a really sweet guy-glad to have found him.

Overcast and cool here-going to go work on my pressed flowers-quiet day.

   Last Sunday, it was tornados and in the mid-60's! By tonight, it's supposed to be down to 20 degrees or less. Very light snow/rain mix right now with 36 degrees at 7am. And I moved out of Florida in 1988!!!!!

   The ride this morning was early ... only one dog out there ... coffee sure is good though~!!!

   Myself ...... I know I've gained weight - but "hippo"???

   Cat ........ so much fun watching a 45-pound dog playing like a pup!!!

   Mags ....... sometimes meds are wonderful - like antibiotics!!!! Hope everything else is better for you and yours today.

   Karen ....... Happy Birthday! What are ya gonna do ta celebrate? My scallops last night weren't great ... got 1/2 left over uncooked - will marinate this time. They usually are good! Oh well - nothing quite like a lazy cook!!!

We are praying God calls lil Sally Home today...another seizure just now, pretty much blind. BUT 5 minutes after seizure she stood up and ate her food and  drank some water-she is so tough. We told her she can let go now (like she really understands us) but they are so intuitive to our tone of voice. She still wags her tail when she hears my voice. I actually thought of putting a towel over her head and shooting her (Oh my God-now I'm really crying). I've never shot a gun in my life! If I could get some Klonopin down her throat, I would. Maybe we should have gone to the vet, but she FREAKS out in the car cause she KNOWS where we're going....I hope we are doing the right thing-just loving her and touching and talking...no being should die alone.

OK, now that I've bummed out anyone who bothered to read that, we are doing ok, she had 14 good years and she leaves us with so many loving and hilarious memories.

I hope all humans and critters are having a good day. We are going to a crafts fair tomorrow am with our candles and pressed flower art-just small town thing, but it's in a rich town across the bridge-lol!! With Xmas coming, I think we have some cool, original gifts.  Guess what my whole family is getting this year? lol
