My anxiety is pretty much gone, thank god and all my friends at HW. Now my depression is bad and I cry just sitting here. I am on an antidepressant and have been good with this but in the past couple days it has been bad again. I have been on all my meds for about 7 years with lots of help. I am not sure if it just the season or if my meds are not working but I hate this because my son (8 yrs old) tries to help and that makes me warm and yet hurts me at the same time. He shouldn't have to help his mama, I should help him. God he is going to be such a mess because I can't keep it together. cry

Hey S2S,

Don't be hard on yourself. You can pull it together. If this keeps up, I would call the doctor. See if you need an increase in the medication. That does happen from time to time. If the increase doesn't help, then maybe a change is in order. It isn't unusual for a med to crap out after 8 years.

Hang in there for your son. Everything is going to be okay...

I have tried to up my dosage and it caused my anxiety to go through the roof. Maybe changing my antidepressant will help. Not sure I will talk to my pdoc when I go back into him this month.

Hello S2S ........

   I noticed you very recently posted a comment on a thread of mine - from the alzheimers forum.

   Thank you for your very kind thoughts.

   I can't help but wonder if you may not have a loved one (relative) who is going thru either alzheimers or dementia. If you are, that would explain a great deal of depression and crying.

   And ...... you may be surprised at how an 8-year old can react - or even understand - to an extent - what you are going thru. Don't take on some guilt for something that may not be creating guilt!

   Try to think of it this way ...... your 8-year old is trying to help you because he loves you. Your one lucky lady - if you view it that way!

I am very lucky that I have my son. Thank you for the reminder. Also yes I have several family members who have or have had both. So I know the pain and suffering that come from this condition. I am very lucky that I have found this place as I did not know so many people has similar problems to me and that there is so much light at the end of every tunnel.

I hope that your mama is doing well and I pray that you are cancer free soon and never have it again.
