HELLO EVERYONE. I CAME TO THE WEBSITE DO TO ANXIETY AND PANIC, BUT THEN DEPRESSION GOT REALLY BAD SO I CAME ON HERE TOO.WHILE PANIC AND ANXIETY IS GONE AGAIN DEPRESSION IS STILL MAJOR FOR ME ON A DAILY BASIS.

I AM 28 FEMALE
1 SON
1 FUR BABY ( LITTLE GIRL) MY KITTY

MY DEPRESSION HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS 12 YEARS OR MORE. THEN ALL THE OTHER STUFF CAME about.

I HAVE AN AWESOME FAMILY, THE BEST OF FRIENDS AND THE LOVE OF MY LIFE MY BOYFRIEND. I HAVE GOOD DOCTORS AND REALLY HELPFUL MEDICATION. I AM IN CALIFORNIA USA.

I HOPE EVERYONE IS WELL AND THAT YOU ALL FEEL FREE TO POST ANYTIME EVEN IF IT IS JUST TO SAY HI OR ENCOURAGRE AS THIS HELPS A TON. yeah tongue smilewinkgrin turn

Hi S2S,

Thanks for posting a little bit about yourself. What is your kitty's name? I have a dog, german shepherd, named Jasmine. I talk about her from time to time. I think pets make life so much better for us. Unconditional love...

Anxiety and depression can go hand in hand sometimes, I think at times they feed off of eachother. I take Xanax for anxiety though I am trying to cut back and eventually go off of it. I am getting older and they don't like to prescribe it to older people. But I have been on it for over 20 years so that is long enough I guess. Though I always feel "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". So I wish they would leave it alone. One day at a time I guess.

Kitties name is Little girl. She is my love bug. I have always grown up with animals so my life is always richer with animals and they have such a calming effect for me.

I am on Paxil for my anxiety. I have taken Klonopin but not too much. I hope that'd you can get off of the Xanax, I watched my uncle kill himself of that nasty crap.

Yes they do go hand in hand but my anxiety got a good grip after I had my son as I have always been a worrier. Had my first panic attack in Feb of this year after my uncle passed, he was a second father to me.

I also have an awesome doggie named Ebony. She is my girl! I forgot to to add her in! Bad doggie mama!

I am sure you can help others. It only takes a few kind words and some understanding. Every body feels so alone with depression and anxiety. Anxiety can truly ruin your life. Depression too. I am glad you are going to stick around. Check out our daily check in thread, it is cool.

I love dogs and cats. I too always had a pet that seemed to love me unconditionally. That makes all the difference in the world sometimes. Just to know that they love you so much. Ebony is a cool name. I take it she is black... I love black dogs. My shepherd is kind of dark, black and tan...

Hello S2S ....

   As I'm writing this, my dog just came up to me and put his chin on my knee ... and just looked up at me with those big brown eyes!

   Yeah ........ another dog lover! My dogs name is Gizmo (like the good Gremlin from the old movie - "Gremlins") ... He's a samoyed - a little like a small version of a Huskie - but all white!

   From your description below .... it sounds like you do have a lot going for you! So ........ I hope you do find a way of either controlling the depression or at least easing the effects of it.

   Oh .... and I just wanted to say "Hi"! And .... thanks for your kind words for me in several of your posts.

Hi Rob and I loved the Gremlins movie, the white was the best for sure so I say hi to gizmo. You are more than welcome for my words as I only post what comes from my heart.

Karen: yes she is black and we actually got her with that name but it fits. She was adopted from the pound with that name by my sister and when they moved from Texas back to California we took her so my sister was able to get the place that she needed to stay for her and her family.

I love everyone in my life and even the not so nice ones only make me stronger. I love my animals and would have worse depression without them. My son is my world though and would go completly insane without him.

Rob is right in that I do have a lot going for me and I really do see that. Some days I forget that depression is part of my life and others I can't put it away.

I have been doing better since being on the posts and I will do daily check ins for sure.

Hey not to worry. I am glad that you are feeling better. I hope that this was a good day for you. I just finished my Christmas shopping (I hope). I am tired. This is such a stressful time of year. I have some birthdays and an anniversary to do yet this month. But most of the stress is gone now...

Well I am glad that some stress is past. I also have my parents anniversary on the 15 and my moms birthday on the 18 so this is always a spend spend spend month for my family. Lol I try not to stress too much on it though. That doesn't always work but I try!

Ps: tardala here just got that you are the same poster. Wow I am tired today. Shoot! Well I hope you catch a nice nap and continue to have an awesome day.
