Hello Happy Bean ..........
This may be a little off the wall, but ........ for years, after I was alone nearly all the time, I would spend a part of the evening drinking (usually) Miller Lite while doing some kind of business paperwork and listening to music (loud)!
I was into music big time, have a good-sized collection, and would most often listen to either progressive jazz, older fusion or tex-mex blues!
about 3-years ago, I stopped smoking .... and somehow, my desire to drink every night totally went away. I also reduced my coffee in the morning to just one large - instead of at least a half pot! And that also, cut back my drinking in a major way.
For me, it seemed that drinking was a partner with smoking.
Now, I would guess that I have about two drinks a month - beer or ale. And if I go out to dinner, I might have one vodka tonic! It's a huge reduction from my past .... and I never get up the next day with either a headache or wondering exactly what I did! I just doesn't happen any more.
Think about it!
Be good to yourself
