Its been a very hectic day, full of every sort of situation. At Christmas with my grandmother this morning she was going to have my brother in law shoot a poor stray. I couldn't stand it! I helped find the poor puppy find a home. Then my dad was going on and on about
politics and religion. My anxiety is horrible being around them anyway and I was dreading this. My anxiety was getting too bad so I decided it was time to leave. I said goodbye and everyone was trying to make me stay. After I got in the truck my sister comes and starts yelling at me. I told her the discussion was over and closed the door, which she then punched. I had a full blown horrible panic attack on the way home but my husband was there and such a great comfort. He helped me through it.
Then we get home and I finally start to relax when I decide to go check on my kitties. I stepped in the hallway and it was flooded! The toilet was overflowing and had flooded the bathroom, hallway, and half of the kitchen. Luckily, my husband got it fixed. I spent a while bleaching the tile and shampooing carpet. I am exhausted and hurting. Too much for the fibro.
Lastly, my husband witnessed someone dump a kitten on the side of the road when he was picking a dehumidifier. He brought her home and she is nothing but skin and bones. I gave her a bath and she's so cute, all grey and long haired. She hasn't stopped purring since he picked her up. She has been eating off and on non stop and used the litter box. We can't keep her so we will be trying to find her a home. If I had more room I'd keep the sweet baby. She has been sleeping in my lap for half an hour now. Bernie, Hunter, and Mojo all have sniffed her and moved on, they aren't very interested in her. The kids want to call her Isabella. So, I think Christmas ended up on a high note. I helped find 2 strays and saved them from death.

I found a home for the dog already. The stray at my grandmothers was a dog. The kitty may stay with us for a bit. My vet has agreed to help us find a home. Plus, he's going to exam her for free! She is painfully thin.

Poor kitty and puppy. I am glad you found the pup a home though.
I hope the kitty become a part of your family i know that taking on another mouth may not seem like an idea but she will be hard to let go of as soon as you have to. I think you have a new little girl there!
I am so glad my family is not poopie like that and I am sorry that yours is.
My sister offered a 9 inch tv to my son and I said no thank you and she got mad.
My son has worse eye sight then me and that 9 inch would just kill his little eye balls for sure.
I hope you have a good night and I am sorry that your family is a stress and that your potty flooded too. Thats not fun.

AV...
Your day actually ended on a good note, focus on that. It must feel so good that you helped the dog and cat. Let that set the tone for the next day...
We can control how we feel. Forget the bad and focus on the good...

I have. The ends certainly made up for everything else. I have always loved animals so I was happy to help the poor things. I like to help and feeling that I helped these animals erased all the negativity, except the fibro flare is not getting that message!! LOL. I feel sunburned on my shoulders, neck, and back! Sleeping was not possible.
The kids named the kitty and I'm afraid my husband is getting attached to the little thing. She has made enemies with Hunter, though. Hunter doesn't want to share me with the kitten. I just don't think 4 cats is a good idea but she is soo sweet. We will see how it goes.

If you keep the little guy (or girl), they will establish a pecking order, give them time, I think they will get use to the new one, if you decide to keep him/her.
I wish you the best...

The husband has decided he wants to keep Izzy, the new kitty. Now I just have to convince Hunter to not hate me or her. Hunter caught the kitten in my lap and since then she wants nothing to do with me. I even bribed her with treats and I am still getting the cold shoulder. I miss my little cuddle buddy!
Any suggestions for getting Izzy to quit hissing at the other kitties? Mojo and Bernie are really curious and want to play with her but she hisses at them.

I imagine that Izzy needs to get use to the other kitties. It sounds like fearful aggression. But once she gets bigger and use to them, and knows that they aren't going to hurt her, she will probably be playing with them.
Best wishes,
Karen...

AV, I'm sorry about
your hallyway getting flooded yesterday. However, as Karen said, it sounded like you had a wonderful ending. This little kitty came to brighten up your day
I hope Izzy will become friendly with the others soon.

It's not my problem anymore. The husband is still on track for the divorce and I can't take her with me.

Where are you going to stay this time? Just curious... I know you must be running out of options... I would be checking into a women's shelter.
This must be becoming old hat to you. You have been moved out about
four or five times now. And that is since you have been on the depression forum, it was on the fibro forum before that. Though you always seem to find a place to stay. Actually you have been lucky with that. Though you can't stay with people long. When does all the stuff kick in. The beginning of the year? Maybe then you will be able to rent a place with the kids. And you know depending on where you go, you can maybe take the cat. If you rent??? You should be able to make it on your own I hope after you get the disability??? Is that what you are getting? Will there be back pay? If so, that will really help with first and last months rent... Just thinking...
So maybe where one thing ends another begins.

I received my first ssi check this week. It was for $311. I've had to spend about
100 on the kids clothing and food. I am not expecting another check until February 1. There will be no back pay, they say I'm not eligible even though my disability was found to go back to 2008. I only receive 741 a month. Rent on my area for even a 2 bedroom, which I need a 3, is $550 a month. Even though the child support issue was cleared up it still damaged my credit.
I am going to have to go back to my friend's parents house. I have nowhere else to go. I am beyond sick of this crap. I hate moving. My anxiety is the worst ever, having multiple big panic attacks a day. My OCD which was under control has shown back up. I'm wasting so much time and energy on compulsions. The fibro is the worst I've experienced. Every muscle feels pulled, I feel like I have a bad sunburn all over my body, and it hurts for anything to touch me. I also can't keep any food down. I am too stressed out. I know it will pass but right now I see no way to make everything work. There's no way I can raise my kids on the ssi. I have already submitted paperwork for foodstamps and HUD, but there is a 2 year waiting list for HUD.

If you can get food stamps, they should help you with rent. In the meantime you can be waiting on HUD... I wish you the best...
Living with other people is hard, talk to them about
helping you with rent. They pay it directly to the land lord now I think... Best wishes...
