Good morning all ......

   Another 4 to 5" of snow last night .... so that makes close to 20" of snow since New Years Day early AM. It was 17 degrees out this morning - and the plows had not gotten to our driveways yet by 8am ... so it was the first time I've had to back-up then pull forward again to get out of the packed snow. Wish I could pack-up January and ship it somewhere!!!!

   Gizzy loved going for the ride this morning - but no dogs again - out there! After we got home, he played in the snow for about 1-minute ... then I got him inside - where he promptly pooped on the floor. Poor boy - even a Siberian dog doesn't want to be outside for long here!

   I'm really not a big football fan - besides the Bears - but yesterdays two games were really excellent - if you weren't rooting for a certain team. I have to say ..... Indy must be really proud of their second year QB. He - and the team - made an incredible come-back against a good Eagle team. Is it coincidental his name is Andrew LUCK?

   

   Hey guys ........ really good positive vibes about the smoking plans!!!

   Fusion Girl ......... are you or were you into ELP? (Emerson, Lake & Palmer)! For all you youngsters out there, they were one of the first and best fusion groups of the 70's and slightly beyond - and from the UK I believe!

   AV ........ loving snow ... from a distance ... is the best way!

   MissJD ...... nice name - doesn't sound so mathematical as S2S!!!

   Michele ....... you sound sooooo positive. keep it going!!!

   Karen ..... hope you got to see your grandkids!

   Happy Turtle ...... good start!!!!

Karen .......

   There were so many groups it seems in the 70's that could have been considered fusion. I really got into many of them.

   Kansas, while not quite fusion, took rock in a slightly different place.

   Rick Wakeman, in either of two groups, was dynamic ..... oh Yes!!!!!

   Alan Parsons Project was the almost fusion pop group.

   ELP was, in addition to the above, were one of my favorites.

   It was Greg Lake on keyboards (I think) and Carl(?) Palmer on drums. I can still here (forgot the name of it) the long piece of about 15-minutes long - where Palmer took over with a drum solo - that eventually went into a synthesized drum set - that was just freakin great!!!!!

   Jan Hammer was a relatively unknown name of those times also - who was a musical genious with all that he could do. He's only known for doing most of the instrumental work on "Miami Vice" from the 80's!

   Enough reminiscing. I need to get some of my old albums out - and set-up my turntable.

Trina ....... rain ... means it's not freezing .... lucky one!!!!

   I went out today at noon for a gas fill-up and for some groceries. The roads were extremely slick - much more so than at 8am - and it's getting colder. A 48-hour hibernation is starting to sound good!

Well, its been a very disappointing day for the kids. We got no snow, it didn't even rain for more than an hour. Its supposed to drop down to 5 degrees tonight! You guys need to take your yucky cold weather back up north! I don't want it!

Kind of got some bad news. I see an ophthalmologist every year because the genetic syndrome causes glaucoma. Its a great grab bag of treats this syndrome. Anyway, my eyes keep getting worse each year. The dr thinks this is also related to the syndrome (Sheesh, what doesn't this syndrome do?!) He doesn't know how to stop the deterioration and thinks there may be a chance that I will lose my vision down the road. I'm trying to not think about it. I've got to focus on the knee and take it one weird messed up health issue at a time.

Stay warm! If its so cold here I know some of you must be in danger of frostbite if you stay outside. Everyone be careful!

The temperature is steadily dropping and it is snowing, we are in for a storm and very cold in the morning. We stocked up on things today so we don't have to worry about going anywhere tomorrow.

got up an hour ago, nocturia and slight burning, so i thought i would post. thanks for the positive words guys. going to arrange a loan in the morning and arrange a new bank card that i need. i am playing tunes nice and low. done some dishes as well. will get some sandwich meat tomatoes and bits and pieces whilst i am at the shopping centre as well. irene is going up to do some business, she is going into one of the places that i am. will be good to get out. i must walk buttons as well, been nearly two days, i have been sick though. take care.

Grrrr. I miscounted and didn't have a new pack of birth control to start last night. I am going to pick one up while at the medical center later. I haven't had a period in a while and usually when I let my body get one, it goes haywire. Ack. I don't want a withdrawal at the same time this weather system moves through.

Hello everyone.

Omg deep breaths! My tooth is making me feel so bad. Started at about 4am and has not let up since. Oh this is gonna be a day, I can tell.

Son went to doc and is all good. Little over weight but we are working on that.

I have been smoking more due to my pain.... darn.

I want this tooth pain to ease off so I can nap but it doesnt look like it will.

I will be doing laundry tomorrow. Just gonna rest up today and try not to go crazy from mouth pain.

Hi all

Well today hasn't been a good day, I've cried off and on all day. Said goodbye to our friends last night and I sobbed my heart out. I know they're happy to be leaving, and I'm pleased for them, but I'm so disappointed they've gone if that makes sense. We had a nice time before they left, they brought some champagne and we sent out for pizza. It was so hard seeing them go, especially the kids. The four year old was crying too. I'm trying to be positive but struggling.

I've had it with back pain it's really getting me down. I see my pain doctor next Wednesday. I'm not sure if he can offer any more, the injections I had made the pain worse. If he can't, then it's back to the surgeon and facing more surgery, this would be my fifth back op. It's not something to be taken lightly, I've got to give it a lot of thought.

Wednesday and Thursday I'm wedding dress shopping with my daughter, can't wait for that. I'm also thinking about starting a sewing project to fill my time. I can't afford to let myself go.

Thank you so much for making me so welcome on this forum. Rob, yes I am off an age to remember Emerson Lake and Palmer. I think I was just getting married when I remember them. Happy days!! Good memories!!
