Good afternoon/evening ........
Not many surprises at the Oncologist this afternoon. The catscan did show some signs of improvement with reduced cancer metastisis at the lymph node and adrenal glands. It's hard to read the catscan medical report - so I can't tell if there is a reduction of cancer near the kidneys.
I do need to make a few calls tomorrow - need to see the Urologist asap to review the catscan and for my 6-month Lupron shot. And need to get into the hospital asap for out-patient replacement of my nefrostomy tube for my right kidney.
My chemo is now going to be every 4-weeks instead of every 3-weeks. That should slightly reduce the side effects. I did find out that on this most recent chemo, it is only given for 6-treatments or less ... before it's reduced in either strength or frequency. I did make it thru the 6-treatments without terrible SE's.
After the next 3-treatments every 4-weeks ... there will be another catscan. Then ..... it's a mystery! don't know what's next!
So ........ mostly good news at the Oncologist!!!!!
Michele ....... that is strange about your Mother, and I can imagine how you don't really know how to react - considering grandkids and all. It may not be quite as strange as you might think though! My ex-wife has done that with my or our grandkids (and oldest daughter) - and that was for over two years the first time. She has done it again - for shorter periods of time ..... as though this would not affect the grandaughters! I don't understand it at all. I hope you can - along with your kids - find some way to deal with her ... but in a way that protects all of you should it happen again. There's a chance it will!
Myself ....... so much of my organizational procedures just went to hell once I retired. It's disgusting!!! I used to use both a daily planner and a wall calendar ..... then even a 3-week computer calendar for most commitments.
Hope everyone has a good night
