Rosie,
I think I told you about the physical evaluation on my spine and that I fluncked. I am not a candidate for their program. They sent the report Monday and it simply states that new MRI's need to be taken to see the severity of the disks and exactly what the damage is. I do not want to go on pills for the rest of my life. Yet, I don't want to be in pain so if those are my choices, I'll take the pain so I don't have to ruin my recovery of 1,200+ days. I'll let you know what they decide. AS for my MIL, they are looking into Hospice care. She is too sick to live alone anymore. She left the hospital on Wed and her amonia level was 50, normal is 30 and the final test that they took right before she left had gone from 50 to 100. Her initial was 275 when she got to the hospital. If she shows any signs of confusion, she has to go back immediately. It is a horrible death and I hope her son and his wife can learn from this. They drink beer constantly. My husband, through the grace of the Lord has been off the booze for almost 4 weeks. I am praying this is for good. Why would a person want to drink after seeing their dad and now mom dying of this horrid and painful disease? Beats me!
Hugs
Sue
