Hi, everyone,
Five years ago, having felt depressed for quite a while, I decided to ask my doctor for solutions. I then started on Wellbutrin and rediscovered what happiness and purpose meant. However, for a reason that will probably remain unclear, in December, I started to have light but recurring headaches, followed by an ever increasing sensation of tiredness, accompanied by loss of short-term memory and mental fog (searching for words, etc.). Then, I went through little bouts of depression and began to feel some tension in my neck muscles, something I would feel when I was anxious before taking Wellbutrin.
During the Holidays, my fatigue was a real handicap. I was sleeping all the time during the day and had to put a great deal of effort in going to parties and the like. My doctor decided to start my on Cypralex (10 mg) for two weeks and then slowly come off the Wellbutrin. My fatigue seemed to decrease a tad, but not in a way that could make it manageable. Five days ago, it was time to stop taking my Wellbutrin. Yesterday and today, I feel very tired. I just want to sleep, making my work days hell. I must also add that I live in Gatineau, close to Ottawa, Canada. Our winter has been bad and I think it is getting to me.
Sorry for the long introduction; I felt it was necessary for you to understand my situation.
Now, did this happen to anybody else? Has anybody else experienced this sort of fatigue using anti-depressants?
I'm a bit worried at the moment. It's been almost two months now.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post. I appreciate any feedback.
