Daily Check In Thread For All!!! #70

Heeeellllllllooooooo Everyone-

Well, it's a Monday. What can you say. Dreary and cold weather and rain coming back to our area today. What fun! My heating bill is going to be HUGE!

I have an appt with my psychiatrist this afternoon. I am going to ask him if I can wean off of the Risperdall. I think that is causing my Prolactin levels to be so high. I am scared about weaning off it- side effects I may get. I am doing so well lately. Maybe it is because of all of the life changes I have been through recently, but I feel better. No more stress unless I put it on myself. It was very hard to live with consistent stress all of the time. Anyway, I am very well aware that I could be feeling well BECAUSE OF the medicine. I am praying that he will support this move. We will see.

One thing I did not share last week is that out of the blue, my mother contacted my daughter on Facebook. Or maybe I did tell you all. Menopausal mind is causing me to forget everything lately! Anyway, haven't heard from her in 2 1/2 years. At least I know she is alive so I have closure there. She has not contacted my daughter since last week. We shall see what happens. I am NOT going to let her control my emotions, reactions, or my life.

I am freaking out! My aunt came home early from work, she has a tummy bug. Omg

I am scared to catch it and scared my son will get it too. Oh I am almost in years over this. She seems to just have poopy but I am so scared......

My whole body is shaking and I want to lock my son and I up in my room until this is over. I am scared to touch anything, use the restroom or even be in the same room she is in.

My day was fine until this.....

Good morning sort of .............

   It's been a screwed up day - and i have a morning appointment with my Urologist tomorrow - so don't know if I'll be writing tomorrow morning.

   I did have my 7th chemo of this type this afternoon. My CBC (blood tests) too - and some of my readings were a little high for the first time - but i think it may have to do with the longer interval now between the chemo.

   I did need a Procrit shot from my low iron tests. The procrit does burn a little going in - but the chemo injections were OK. They did wipe me out though - so I slept about 90-minutes of the injection time ... then another 2-1/2 hours after I got home.

   Late tonight, I found out that my oldest daughter does not want to meet now. She seems to feel that there is nothing for us to talk about. I think that's spelled "d-e-n-i-a-l"! I will try calling her tomorrow night since it's 11:50pm now.

   She wrote me a very short negative e-mail that was a total lack of communications or willingness to communicate. She must have written it tonight or late afternoon. A sad and very pessimistic move by her.

   Hope no one loses a child tomorrow. (Sorry - in a sarcastic and feel sorry for myself mood).

   I used to think that she had a fear of "losing me". Don't think so anymore. She really is a very unsupporting type of person - and very materially oriented.

   I remember a telephone conversation with her two weeks ago, and she couldn't wait to tell me how she and her family are going on a cruise over the Easter vacation .... and we're at least a 1000-miles from the closest cruise start location.

   To put that into perspective, her e-mail return to me in December stated that she couldn't afford to call me by phone - either home or cell. We live 38-miles apart! So one call a month might cost $2. or $3. But, of course all four of them can go on a cruise. No - she doesn't have any fear of losing me.

   We all have different priorities in life .... as it should be. I have never once mentioned anything to them about vacations. They do go on at least one every year - often more than one when you include holiday trips. I know they must have spent close to 10x the amount in vacations over the past 15-years compared to my vacations over the past 25-years. - Different priorities.

   I chose to pay-off my mortgage in 15-years instead three years ago. - Different priorities. Oh yeah, and i called her about twice a month for most of those 15-years.

   Sorry - but venting was needed - and will be for a while because my grandchildren are also in this mix or mess.

   Everyone I've talked to around here the past couple of weeks are sooo sick of this weather. We normally would get 2 to 3-weeks of this stuff every Winter - usually in January and maybe another 2-weeks spread thruout the balance of the Winter. This year, it's been closer to 10-weeks - and counting!!!! It totally sucks! I still think we have another 4-weeks or so of this stuff left.

   I am not offended at all about what you just said. SHORT STORY - I have an old friend from more than 15-years ago where I have been like a big brother to her. Whenever she has a new BF, I hear about it - almost like I'm one of the girls (hated to put it that way)! She hadn't called me for two months or so - then called me on Sunday.

   She didn't know my Mother had died - or that things with my oldest daughter might (as of sunday) be getting better. Then she tried to get me to go to a Valentines Day dance this Saturday. I really don't know any of her friends ... I declined but I did say to her "I've got to get out - and make some new friendships".

   So .... I am on that wave length now!!! I am self-conscious about my cancer - and plan on going to an excercise weekly session for Prostate Cancer patients or survivors that focus on the main physical problems created by that cancer - muscle weakness, bone loss, weight gain and exhaustion. I feel, at times, 20-years older than i did just 5-years ago when i was in pretty good shape.

   Hope your snowstorm is a short one and with no ice (nasty stuff)!

   When you said "finally thawed out" I guess you meant the water ... Yay!!!!!!! But still -12 out there! How do those cardinals stand that extreme cold weather? Here, we only seem to see the cardinals when it's starting to get more like into the 50's or slightly higher.

Had a pretty good meeting with my Urologist this morning - may have a UTI ... but the catscan did show some of the cancer growth had gotten smaller at my kidneys. If that continues, my kidneys may someday be able to work on their own ... my goal!

It is a balmy 13 degrees now. Sorry about all the weather reports, but this winter is truly getting to me.

I did get out today. Went to town and got some prescriptions, groceries and a valentines' card for my hubby. Also got a birthday card for my sister in law. I got mixed up and sent her a card last month. She probably thinks I am nuts. Not saying I am not though... LOL...

I am still a bit shaky but I am feeling better. Yay

Aunt feels better and my coping skills are stronger. I have been fighting the anxiety and panic all night and today but I do keep going.

I am tired still but that is no different then any other day. My morning meds make me tired. I am all good thank god. I wanted to thank you for all of your support yesterday. I was in a bad way and felt myself closing off. So thank you everyone.

Rob: I'm sorry things with your older daughter and not soo good anymore. I really thought she was coming around. Well I hope your have a good time with the new group/program tom. If you decide to go to the dance with your friend, have a good time!

MissJD: Glad you're doing better. Hope your son will feel better soon.

Myself: As JB suggested, exercise tapes sounds like a good idea. My eldest sister has me looking for clips of some program called Zumba. I'v been looking since Friday and I'm still looking though... Lol

Karen: Hope the weather will get warm soon by you. In the mean time, I'll send some of our sunshine from here your way.

Not sure if I'm coming down with something. I got the headache and fever since last night, then it was belly trouble this morning. I took a sick day and worked from home. Hoping it'll all pass tonight.

Rob, give me that daughter's address and I will go shake some sense in her. I would absolutely be head over heels if my mom was half as caring as you are. You have done what you can, now its her loss.

Today has been busy. I spent the day trying to get my medicaid stuff straightened out and figuring out which of my doctors will take it. Then I went to finally get this tooth pulled. He also had to dig out a root that a different dentist left in there. So I have stitches in my mouth. Yuck. My soon to be ex husband picked me up and took me to get my medicine filled. I walk in the door to find out I have been served with the official divorce papers. You know, the "you have 30 days to respond" thing. It was a shock because last night he said he would wait for me to get things together. I called him and at first I was MAD. I told him I was going to take him for everything I could get. I apologized. as hurtful as he has been that is just not who I am. He seems to think he is a victim. somehow it is my fault that he can't get a 64,000 dollar car. I'm kind of surprised at how okay I am. I am tired of feeling like a monster. I know I did everything I could to try and make that marriage work. He's a jerk. He has good qualities and may be a great friend, but he is not a good husband. So, I am still a bit hurt. I gave him everything I had and it wasn't good enough. That stings, but I am soooo ready to not be made to feel bad about myself. I will be seeing a lawyer tomorrow just to make sure everything is fair.

Ok, so more happened but that is already a novel. I really appreciate you all. I feel like such a crybaby sometimes and I am sorry. My life seems to have been wreck after wreck after wreck. Its time for me to do something about it. Remind me of this tomorrow when I am all weepy again :p

Thanks Karen and AV. I'm came out to work today. Still feeling weak and shaky though. It's just 3 more days to get through. Hope the weather isn't too bad by you today Karen. We have dark clouds here. Seems like we may get some rain today. The weather report said it will be overcast with some showers.

AV: I'm sorry about the tooth and stitches. I hope you're not in too much pain. I hope you get through with the divorce as well and it's not messy. I know it must be tough but hang in there. Remember that better days are ahead. We are here for you.

Water froze again, but it is thawed out now. Need a heat tape. Hubby is getting that now.
