Try to think of it this way .............
If you fell backwards - there's a good chance you may have hit your head on the concrete. You don't want to do that!!!!!
So a bruise, while not pleasant, is better than a concussion!
I remember a fall I had a few years ago that now ... I think was kind of funny ... like something out of a cartoon!
I was taking my dog Bear out the front door - of course, in the winter. I didn't realize the concrete stoop was covered with ice. While I was standing on the ice, Bear took off running ... but he was on a 6' leash and was close to a 50-pound dog.
The next thing I remember was seeing both of my legs out in front of me up in the air ... and I went down on my back - on the concrete. My elbows automatically went out ... and saved my head from hitting with any force.
Bottom line ...... I was lucky.
Don't blame yourself. As one of the daytime tv judges says .... it was an accident. It was not an on-purpose!
