   You beat me to it! You said it all - nearly!

   I never ever would have guessed that Lizzie was that spaced out! Geez - another 10-minutes later, and Judith would have died at the hands of Lizzie too. Poor Mika!!!!

   If you saw "The Talking Dead" after that episode, the MC of that show was really pretty shaken .... and the lady who plays Carol was so deeply into her character - she's great!!!

   I'm not sure what I expected Tyrees to do when he found out the truth. His decision was so gutsy - and forgiving.

   I can't wait for Rick and Carl to see Judith. I hope Carol can get some credit for Judiths survival (along with Tyrees) - so she can become a major player in the group again. And Daryl needs, in my opinion, to get away from those 6-dudes looking for someone to kill!

   And one character who really seems to have changed is Bob. Early in the 4th season, I didn't trust him at all - looked like a self-centered drunk wannabe!!!

   Now, he's turned into a real human being - seemingly very caring - almost heroic! Is that really him? Or does he have a hidden agenda?

   Well ........ only two episodes left for this season. A lot should happen in the next two weeks.

   Good series well written!

My First Group Medical Hypnosis:

   I made a comment last Thursday at a support group meeting, that my first experience with this highly thought-of medical hypnotist was hard to describe - but a good experience.

   I described it to a degree - then said that I wasn't really hypnotized but he did reach my subconscious self. A few people promptly said "I was hypnotized". (they left off "you idiot")

   It was very difficult to describe other than I felt my mind was taking this journey with him at least 70% of the time .... maybe more! His only suggestion toward the end of the 20-25 minute effort was "to try to step out of yourself - turn around and look back at yourself - and what do you see that you would like others to see"?

   To use one of your expresssions .... it was expletive powerful!!!!@!!!

   There was a group subject matter - that each of the 14 of us first gave our opinions and experiences before the actual voice session thru headphones. That day, it happened to be about "how do you chose a medical group of doctors for yourself?"

   One of my support group members I found has been going to see the medical hypnotist for over a year with private sessions. This lady has an incredibly good attitude - and she gives him much of the credit for that.

Good afternoon ....

   Gizmo is on his way back - had scrambled eggs this morning. BUT - I wanted to tell a little story that somehow got moved to the back of the brain two weeks ago.

   When out with Giz and the little Lab came up the hill with her owner, and the two dogs had such a great time together playing like two puppy liter-mates .... the owner and I chatted for awhile.

   It was last November since we were out with both dogs and the dogs played ..... so my neighbor asked how I was doing. She's aware that I have been on chemo - but nothing else about my health status!

   I gave the semi-automatic ... I'm OK! Then she told me a story about how she left her Dad behind in Poland when she came here (maybe 10-years ago) to get married. And that he had some great neighbors - even though he was pretty sick. So she didn't worry much about him - and I guess he's still alive.

   So she insisted ..... if I ever need anything - a doctor or hospital trip or anything .... just to let her know. Neighbors should help each other!

   Saturday, two days ago, I found a small greeting card/envelope between my storm door and front door. When I opened it, the card was from her ... giving me her telephone and cell phone numbers - with a short note saying "if you need anything, just call me"!

   In view of how distant my own oldest daughter has become, along with the accompanying disrespect in my view ...... this was just a "breath of very fresh air"! 

   Kindness has not died.

I am very glad Gizzy is feeling better. I always feel bad right along with my kitties when they aren't well. Mojo is giving me fits right now. He had a touch of gingivitis at his last appointment and has suddenly decided to not eat his dental treats. I got kitty toothpaste today and a finger scrub thing; he's going to be an unhappy boy later. Bernie has also decided that I no longer need to stay in bed past 6 am. He digs on my head to get me up. That's really not fun as of late when I do sleep its usually after 5 am.

Carl, I think Carol should appear a bit wooden. This is not only a painful experience for her, making her relive her inability to protect Sophia, but also very awkward. She knows that while Tyreese keeps professing how happy he feels to have found her that she killed the most important person in his life. She is on this seesaw the whole time trying to decide if she should tell him or not. Then she sees that part of her, I think anyway, that may have lost a tiny bit of sanity when she killed those people. I think the situation with Lizzie solidified for her that she did the right thing.

Then imagine you are Tyreese and you took on the responsibility of these 3 little girls. Its a huge burden especially when one is Rick's daughter. I think he is kind of content to let Carol handle the girls. He's a different person from Carol and all of this with the girls is off his comfort meter.

I am feeling a bit better today. Believe me, Rob, no caffeine. Sprite has no caffeine and I can stomach it the best out of my choices. I am still nauseated and if I make a misstep food wise then I will pay. It seems weird but I am very happy to be going to the bathroom again! I see my ortho dr on wednesday.

Had some weird family stuff over the weekend. I made the decision a few months ago to have nothing further to do with my mom and sister. They just make me miserable. Apparently, my sister was pretty hateful to my mom's sisters. I am very close to them and I feel bad that she has hurt them but I am not surprised. She's selfish. I told them so and I advised them that its her loss. I forget sometimes that she isn't always as nasty with other people as she is with me. I hate for anyone to experience the horribleness that she spreads around but I guess its better to see the whole person for what they are.

sleep, don't even ask!!! thanks for the info rob, it was very interesting and very structured indeed. i will look into it. cheers guys. still fighting, i guess, but a very tired and emotional wrecked and drained turtle though.

Good news ..... good morning:

jmp1969 ..... I have used that rationale fairly often - about suffering and growing in faith. I remember so well last year with my Mother wondering and asking why I was getting so many emotionally painful problems. And I told her my faith was just being tested ... no one was getting back at me for something I might have done to others.

Ran yesterday and had lunch with my wife. We had a good talk. Starting to feel a little better.

Went into school today to work without distractions and temptations to lie on the sofa. Little bit of setback as my Principal told me in passing that he sees the upper grades not having computer class in a few years do to one-on-one technology. Not sure how that will effect me (I teach computers 3-8 two days a week)! Has me worried, but I am going to try and take it one day at a time and not over react until I have the complete picture.

Good morning everyone .......

   Much kinder weather today at 34 degrees and very sunny - at 8am. At least in these parts, I think we're finally over the hill with severe Winter weather. Hey ... isn't Spring officially in 4 or 5-days?

   Gizzy is back to himself .... waking me up at 5am for some water! And he did go for a ride this morning ... and saw his girlfriend again. Leaving here about 8am is perfect ... because his girlfriends family walk her to the bus stop at that time. Both of my neighbors boys are in grade school, so they're usually at the corner by 8:10am or so.

   So glad the brunt of the Winter is over!

   jmp1969 ...... glad to hear you're feeling a little better. So you run! My youngest daughter has now for 4 or 5-years and really loves it and how it makes her feel. What a healthy hobby - if you could call it that!

   AV ....... nice character descriptions on the show. Carol is certainly not loud but really decisive. Tyrees usually seems very passive - except when he found his love dead and burnt. Beth still is puzzling to me after she drove off so quickly. And Daryl .... for some reason I don't think of him as a red-neck. He's too quiet. He thinks too much before he reacts. But, maybe I'm starting to project ... because I have a close cousin who's more of a red-neck than Daryl!

   Myself ...... my, you are either very creative with food or have tons and tons of experience. Have you ever had first season pecans? That's probably a silly question - but dang, they're so much better than the junky last season pecans I normally find around here.

   Happy Turtle ...... there may be someone similar near you who works with the medical hypnosis too. I would think personal exposure would be more valuable than internet exposure.

   MissJD ...... I live in a townhome complex but a very small one. To me, it often is so difficult to even meet the neighbors because of the limitations of outdoor living here. We tend to get isolated and stay inside too much. That's where walking a dog really helps!

   JB1 ....... my last employed job, before going into my own business, was in a very exclusive North shore suburb of Chicago ... and I really didn't like most of the people I worked with. So .... hope you find something soon that's more appropriate. It's miserable not wanting to go into work because of the people there.

   Carl ....... for some reason, i became immune to what I refer to as s**tcoms maybe 20+ years ago. To me, the last network comedy that was worth waiting for weekly was "Cheers"! And on HBO, there was a short-lived comedy called "Dream On" and a long-lived comedy called "Sex and the City" that were both worth waiting for weekly. I have not seen "Modern Family" believe it or not - so i can't comment. But from what I've seen in commercials for it, I just ain't interested in another laugh track program!!!

   I'm sure there are some good or almost good sitcoms or s**tcoms in the past 20-years .... but we were flooded with so many bad ones in the 80's and 90's, I just can't get interested. While it's certainly not any kind of a comedy, "The Walking Dead" is so far superior to most of the routine zombie movies, it's just not tiring to watch - besides being well written. I'm a bit sorry there's only two episodes left this season!

   Karen ....... did ya see "Bates Motel" last night? Did ya hear the last line at the end of the episode? Whoa!!!!@!!!! I've always liked the character Dillon, but did he just get duped by his Uncle/Father/Friend? Sort of reminds me of an old movie with Jack Nicholson - something about "China"? You know .... Mother/sister/mother/sister!

   This has become more of a study in dysfunctional families - than I thought! Norman ... you're looking kind of normal now!

I thought this was kind of funny. The pictures my grandmother gave me had a few of me with another kid who seems very close to my age. These were some of the few my grandmother didn't label. I posted it to facebook and asked if anyone knew who that kid was. My mom posted that it was a member of my biological fathers family. Then my biological fathers sister said that wasn't him. Then my second cousin said it must be him because it looks like his son. Then his dad said it was the same cousin my mom did but my aunt still refused. My grandmother called today and said it was a different second cousin that I've only seen at family reunions. Who knew one picture could cause such a commotion.

April 1 is the one year anniversary of my uncles passing. The family is planning to clean the roadside where he died and then having a big family meal. The kids and I will be the only ones there on my immediate family's behalf. My sister is a jerk. I hate that and I really would love a close relationship but she's selfish, judge mental, and cruel. My mom is manipulative and a liar. I tried to get along for years but they just aren't the family I thought they'd be. I've accepted that and moved on.

Rob, I tend to get really involved with shows (which is why I don't watch many ) and books. I have always liked to figure out how people tick. I did love 30 Rock. I'm rereading the Game of Thrones books. I'm so ready for the next one. Martin left me on a cliffhanger and I've been waiting years to know what is going to happen. I can't predict his moves and I usually can. It's kind of nice.

AV- let go of your mom and sister. It feels so good to have the power of toxic people in my life. I know my mom will show back up one day and I will battle her again. But, I know I will be the winner this time.

Well it's almost the end of another school day. I must say that I like Spring Break much better than working. I could so be a kept woman! lol

One of my students just noticed that my feet and ankles are hugely swollen today. They hurt a little. I have no idea what caused them to swell, but I am going to go home and put my feet up and see if that helps.

We rarely tune into anything on TV, and spend time with Netflix. Right now, we are working our way through Weeds, which I think jumped the shark after season 2, and have finished Orange is the New Black (season 1) and all the seasons of Friday Night Lights. Also House of Cards (season 2). Madmen and Breaking Bad are next.

I cook, a lot, and like ethnic food. I also have a limited diet these days, which helps control my Crohns. No carbs, no grains, no sugar, no soy, no fresh dairy.

Tonight, leftover lamb.

Went to usual high school today. Several theatre kids asked me to come see their show this weekend. Studied several hours, and then went to the gym. Been having some tummy issues today, and nearly stopped my workout. I got hooked, however, watching the medal of Honor presentations this afternoon. Sweating on the elliptical, with tears streaming down my face.
