Hey you guys. Take in consideration, if you are in a cold area as I am, that a lot of your depression is coming from the weather. I have been having a hard time and I know I have cabin fever. Hopefully the snow will melt soon, but I still have so much in my yard. I would say a good two feet still. Maybe more in spots.

I got out yesterday. I went to the casino with my husband and a friend. We did not win, but it got me out. I feel a lot better since.

Just a thought... Thought I would pass it on. I know my depression is bad because of the season right now, so I can approach it in a manner that will help me. I hope that this helps somebody.

This has been a sucky month. My money was gone by the second week due to medical bills, insurance, court costs and lawyer fees. I had to go beg my grandmother for money for food for the kids during Spring Break. She gave me 60 dollars and the soon to be ex gave me some gas money. I am now out of food again and trying to figure out how I am going to handle the copay for my dr visit tomorrow. Isn't life grand?! JB, you are very much not alone on the yucky finances. I hope you have lots of luck finding not only a job, but one you enjoy!

Someone I considered a good friend had become very distant last week. I kept checking in because I know he has suffered depression in the past. Today, after a week of no responses or one word ones I stopped by his place to check in. He said he's been preoccupied. He said he's been a crappy friend and that he thinks we've grown apart. I asked if that is what he wants and he said he sees us as more casual friends now. I got mad because I have always been there for him, I believe in putting everything I have into my relationships. I told him that at this point in my life I don't want casual friends. If he can't be a good friend then I don't need him at all! I hate losing friends but I felt and still feel pretty disappointed in him.

Karen is so right about getting out of the house. It does help even if its hard to motivate yourself to get out there. The kids and I have been out a lot to parks. They love being outside and its been warm enough to really enjoy it.

If I get food stamps then they reduce my SSI benefits. Its all a ridiculous loop. I get nothing extra for the kids because I don't have full custody but I have been paying their bills, buying their school supplies and clothing, and driving them to school and appointments. It takes them 2 months to process changes so it will take 2 months for my monthly assistance to go up. HUD can't help me because they could only provide a 1 bedroom since I don't have full custody. This system is ridiculous. I still want to go back to school but with my finances the way they are I just am not sure its doable. Plus, the ex hasn't taken my name off his loans and he is in default.

Rob- That's the ep I watched and what a look into the family past. Hmmmm. I do not like this path either and Dean will loose it when he has to kill Abadon(sp).

Karen- I hope that you have good weather, we are cloudy and cold here still and may stay that way for a week or more. Yuck.

Jamie- I am at the ready to back you up whenever you call on me. I am sorry that you have to pee a lot, I have those nights. Sleep tight my friend.

A/V- I am sorry that your head is feeling that its gonna blow up. Tell it that I said stop it cant do that. Feel better hun.

Char- I am glad that you have you appointment, the postal service is slow, thus the name "Snail" mail
They do it all on their time. Good luck

JB- I know it is hard not to stress out but all that does is allow depression to come in so try to calm down and be in the moment. Stay strong.

Myself- I get boils in rather compromising places and it is gross and they are painful as all get out, I have found a med call Draw put Salve and Boil Ease and those take the pain away and draws the boil to a a head much faster too. The draw out smells and looks like tar so do not wear to outside of the house unless you dont care but the boil ease is clear and doesnt really smell. I hope that you feel better soon my friend.

Well it is our last night at my parents house. So excited and nervous. Mostly tired right now as the packing and moving have taken a toll but its gonna be worth it.

Hi everyone,

Well its been a so so day for me, every time I pick up one of my cats or my dog I go into panic mode. What if the worst does happen with my neck? I couldn't take care of myself let alone my animals! I went to see my therapist today. My doctor had filled him in on what was going on with my neck and of course he was very sympathetic, when I told him my concerns about my animals he actually told me that he and my doctor have actually gone and rescued animals for their patients who couldn't take care of their pets. My main concern is my 12 year old cat who has never gone to anyone but me. He is a feral cat I found as a baby who had been badly bitten in the neck and that almost killed him. He is terrified of everyone but me.

My therapist must really think I am totally messed up now because he gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him if I needed to. My orthopedic spine doctor called me yesterday and set up a time for me to get a MRI. It's Saturday at 5:00 pm.

I understand the money issues. Truly do. And it really bites to be worried about them, and then have to live life.

All my tax return money is going to the mechanic. I have a state tax bill that will have to be delayed/paid in installments, because the car is more than I expected. I want to take another certification test, in Social Studies, but have to raise at least 150 to reserve the test and get study materials. And then there are student loans, medical bills, and one stupid credit card.

These worries are horrid, and many of us struggle with them.

Made a doctor's appointment for this afternoon, since I really suspect this is a staph infection. I had MRSA five years ago, and while I do not think THIS is THAT, it really ought to be assessed by someone. I found an year-old tube of hydrocortisone gel and used some of it, and it does look better. I no longer look like my right jawline is being eaten by flesh-devouring monsters, just just monsters.

Two hour early release today. I am going to lunch, to the bookstore to price study materials, and maybe actually wander the mall. I have not been to the mall in years.

Good morning .......

   It's another dark sunless day out - but it's 36 degrees at 8am! A little more of the light rain on/off all day I guess. Gizzy was good this morning but only saw one little ankle-biter a block from home!

   Say ...... would a DD bran muffin with raisins be "healthy" food?

   Karen .... hope your snow piles come down!

   Myself .... gonna give your Honda Civic blessings!!!

   Cat .... at least try to stay positive. And my therapist, last Summer, gave me his cell phone number. I think it was a sign of caring!

   MissJD .... I'm wondering now what happened to the episode you saw two weeks ago that wasn't on tv here! Have a stressless move!!!!!!!!!!

   JB1 .... my goodness. It seems like in NYC, you could keep busy each week-end until it's time to retire!!!!

   AV .... sorry about the finances and about the friend who's backing off right now. Hope your support system gets better soon.

   My support group meeting was OK or better yesterday - with some good input on the previous medical hypnotist. I have another group meeting in about 30-minutes. Love it tht it's only about 3-miles away!

MissJD, I hope the move goes well. It can be kind of fun to start over in a new place. I really think you should look into counseling for your son. You may be surprised at why he's acting out.

Rob, it is starting to sound like you and Gizzy are the only brave creatures in your area that brave the cold! Hopefully, as it warms up Gizzy will see more doggies. Bernie had an outside day today. He got out and I was too tired to chase his booty down. He stayed out for an hour and then seemed ready come back in.

Karen, I can't imagine it being that cold still! Even with our yucky winter its in the 60s now. I'd go crazy!

Catwamyn, when you stress about something you make it worse and worse in your head. Try to do activities that distract you. Its awesome that your therapist cares that much about your situation! I hope you use that number if you need!

JB1, I don't really like huge cities but I'd love to have access to the great resources they have! I'd love to have easy access to all the activities until I had to try and get there! Lol!

I got all my preadmin testing done. My nerve release surgery will be Thursday. I may not be posting for a bit after that because my right arm will be splinted. I think I am going to have to cancel on a family event this weekend. My extended family is doing an activity in honor of my uncle's memory. Tuesday is the 1 year anniversary of his passing. I'd like to go but I just don't have the gas money to go. At least Hunter is being super cuddly.

Went to doctor about the boil. She is so funny. She had no idea what it was, and was acting like a kid with a new toy. Long story short, I have antibiotics.

I had to hang around for the appointment. I fell asleep in a comfy chair in a bookstore. Well, it was comfy falling asleep. Not so much on waking up.

I posted an update in the CP forum of everything pretty much...feels good to get it out...hopefully sleep will come to me tonight...things will work out, just that I have to shell out another $60.00 to get them straightened out...bummer...

Hi everyone, so sorry I am still partly MIA. I still have outpatient program going.

Myself-so glad you finally go to the doctor I was getting worried reading down theses posts!

Catwoman-there are some very nice people in this world that would help with you furfaces should the need arise, now worries, Just enjoy day by day. You are blessed with a great therapist!

Karen-I hope your grey cloud is lifting, the weather here has been raining and snowy, cold and damp. My head pain high. Not at all fun for sitting in DBT classes with people complaining of hang nails!

Received a $300.00 check from Aetna. Checked the claims on line it is not listed. They do not send EOB/s out anymore more. Will have to wait till money to call. Of course there is no letter or detail with the check that would be to easy. I am sure this is a mistake. It will have to go back. Dang.

Have a good night everyone, I feel the need for ice cream.

Good morning .....

   The third dark day in a row - but no rain this morning. 33-degrees out at 8:30am is about typical for March. The longer days are nice!!!!

   Gizmo was a happy camper - with getting within 10-feet of a male Mallard .... then three dogs spotted on our ride. Maybe it was the slightly later time of todays ride.

   Trina ....... think of all the ice cream that $300.00 could buy!

   JB1 ....... spent nearly 9-years living in Florida - and the degree of friendliness can vary by the area in Florida. How was the museum?

   Myself ...... sounds really weird - but I miss the chemo recliners at my Oncologists!

   AV ...... for me - you hit it right on the head! Getting to the activities can be such a hastle in a big city.

  

Note: the TGIF I went to last night was pretty enjoyable. There were 18 of us and only one person was new to me. As usual, we talked in small groups - based on where we were sitting. Unfortunately, too much of the talk was about Illinois politics ... an inevitable corrupt topic of discussion!!!! But there is an interesting election coming in November!!!

The support group yesterday morning was interesting - much of it with 4 of us talking about different degrees of friendship - and what they meant to each of us.

One of the symptoms of crohns is skin issues like this. Her 'guess' was that since the start of the boil coincided with when my latest flare started, that something, somehow, got infected. I hadn't eaten anything to cause an issue. It is already looking better, tho have a huge area of scabby skin along the right jawline. So far I am tolerating the antibiotic.

Have more energy, and so badly need to clean the house. So, guess what I am doing today!

Rob-those recliners are comfy. Something has to be good about the experience, no? I sat in one when taking Mom to her appointments. Glad the gathering gathered.

Trina, ice cream is good, but money AND ice cream even better.

Have been silent these past few days....busy beyond belief!

I worked 12 hours yesterday and 11 hours the day before. State testing is next week- it's hell!

I swear it was a full moon all week! Lol students were crazy!!!

AV I hope your procedure goes well.

Karen- I'm sorry you didn't win a zillion billion dollars on your day out.

Rob- I hope you enjoyed your group this morning.

Myself- I'm glad you were able too see the doctor and got medicine.

JB- sorry your museum visit was postponed.

Cat-I am sorry that you are panicking when holding your animals, this too shall pass. I am glad that you are going to get your MRI. Stay strong.

Myself-I am sorry for the money trouble, I know that its tuff but try to relax. Let happiness stay and worry and stress go.

Rob- I am not sure what happen to that ep, Its strange that they didn't show it on another night and then the regular on Tuesday. Hmmmmmmmmm. How was your group?

OK news with me:

Got my stuff moved and we spent our first night over last night and I love it. We are back at my parent's because the full size bed that we took down is just not large enough for my son and I to sleep in. So we are here until Tuesday afternoon and then we are going home. I locked my only key for my van in the van last night and I was so upset, no money to have someone get in and I did not want to break a window. My sis and I got in without messing my van or a window up so that was an adventure. I went 12+ hours without a smoke and I did pretty good, I am proud so I know now that when I am ready I can it.I had those in my van actually so I had no choice.lol still proud of me! Move was actually not that bad and I am so happy that we did this. I had anxiety attacks as I was driving back here, I love my parents but hate the town and house they are in. Well I have very tired still, so I am going to get to sleep soon, I will update more when I can.

Good morning ....

   The sun is out!!!

   It's 32-degrees out and a beautiful day out. We saw the first motorcycle of the year out this morning .... kinda nuts .... a Suzuki Sport Bike that offers no wind protection - and it's quick! Anything below 55-degrees out is freakin cold on a bike!

   Gizzy was happy .... saw his (our) neighbor across the street - a Border Collie ... and that was after seeing two other dogs on the way back from DD. Boy ... was he lookin for his GF!!!!!

   UA ..... boy, it seems like you've always got a Monday off! You sure you don't work for the post office???

   Karen ..... I'll bet tomorrow is gonna be a good day for weather up by you! With opening day for the sox here, they're calling for the weather to be in the 60's ..... first time since November 17th at 60 or above!!!

   MissJD ..... congrats on the move even if temporarily away right now. I had two good support group meetings and one early night out with some old friends and aquaintences. Hope your week-end was good.

   Michele ..... Friday morning was good with the support group talking about "what makes a person a friend" - and about some nasty stories!!!

   JB1 ..... maybe you can make the museum this Saturday! Friday night for me was good except for two friend/aquaintences sitting on either side of me. They are friends with each other ... but then got far into political discusions with one being an intensely conservative republican and the other being a sizeabley strong liberal democrat. I felt like a very uncomfortable referee .... especially since I'm an independant!

   Myself ..... good thread on "fun things to do"! In my cancer reoccurrence group meeting in December, they did that! It took the edge off - right at Christmas too.

   AV ..... you probably are aware of it, but today is a "Walking Dead" marathon for the 4th season. It started at 5am today with episode #1 ... and at 7pm last night for the same. Hope this week is kind to you.

   Looking ahead for this week, I only have one medical appointment - yay! And I should be able to re-register for the Pulmonary excercise program. At my primary doctor Friday, he gave me a breathing test - hate that machine!!! And my breathing efficiency was only at 38% - not so good! It was at 44% in December when I had bronchitus!

   My daughter should be over Wednesday night ... so I have much house-cleaning to do. I don't want to leave her the impression that i can't take care of my place - just when she's about to re-locate to Texas.

   By the way - Michele and Chart (think your from Texas too) ... one of the first things she and her BF are going to do down there is to each get a pair of boots. I played a little Stevie Ray Vaughn for him (the BF) last time I saw them both - and he liked it! Good sign!!!!

Today has been a good day, I have taken a page out of Jamie's book and I have been listening to some good music. I have been listening to Sirius Prime Country It plays music from the 80's and 90's and sometimes I switch to rock from the 70's which to me was Rock music's best decade. Listening to music does sooth the savage beast.
